Where as Haste Says: "All of the hasted creature’s modes of movement (including land movement, burrow, climb, fly, and swim) increase by 30 feet, to a maximum of twice the subject’s normal speed using that form of movement. This increase counts as an enhancement bonus, and it affects the creature’s jumping distance as normal for increased speed." So it depends on the wording of that version of Fast Movement. Like the Monk: "At 3rd level, a monk gains an enhancement bonus to her speed, as shown on Table: The Monk. " That would be a increases to all speed, not just land. |

If it was just a human barbarian/wizard who cast alter self to give himself wings, I would not apply the +10' to his fly speed. |

If it was just a human barbarian/wizard who cast alter self to give himself wings, I would not apply the +10' to his fly speed. The character in question is a raptoran scout, so we are talking about the scout version of fast movement, which, i believe is identical to the barbarian version in that it applies to land speed. The reason I bring this up, is that, as mentioned, I saw in the stormwrack book that races with natural swim speeds can choose to apply this increase to their swim speed. And though the cover of the stormwrack book says its a resource for wind and water (though I see very little about wind), I was just wondering why a race with a natural fly speed like a raptoran could not take this. I would of course, require the raptoran to be capable of actual flight first (not just gliding) so the first increase to speed would have to be applied towards land speed, but subsequent ones after the raptoran had reached level five (and gained true flight, limited though it is until lvl 10) could be applied towards their flight speed. |

I would probably rule that as the Scout listing specifies 'land speed', then it is land speed that is increased; especially as there are other movement enhancements that specifically state it's any or every movement mode. A rule being in Stormwrack that says a creature can take their bonus land speed improvement and apply it to other movement modes they have, this gives you a basis as a DM to allow it if you so choose. This is inherently an optional rule, however, and you're free to interpret it as you wish. |

That is completely understood, and I have no issue with that. Even with only the first one being applied to land, Im still faster than most my allies and enemies. |
