Reyemile 03-25-07, 11:55 AM	According to the SRD, if someone tells you that an illusion is an illusion, you get a +4 bonus to your will save, and you automatically succeed at your will save if you have proof that you are seeing an illusion. If you succeed at a spellcraft check to identify an illusion as it is being cast, do you have proof that you are seeing an illusion? Is someone telling you that it's an illusion?

Is someone telling you that it's an illusion? I believe proof means incontrovertible proof, like sticking your leg through an invisible wall (or someone else walking through it). Making a spellcraft check as someone casts an illusion counts as interacting with the illusion as well as granting the +4 bonus since you have good reason to believe it's an illusion. Likewise if you successfully identify the school of magic using detect magic or arcane sight.
