If you succeed at a spellcraft check to identify an illusion as it is being cast, do you have proof that you are seeing an illusion? Is someone telling you that it's an illusion? |

Is someone telling you that it's an illusion? I believe proof means incontrovertible proof, like sticking your leg through an invisible wall (or someone else walking through it). Making a spellcraft check as someone casts an illusion counts as interacting with the illusion as well as granting the +4 bonus since you have good reason to believe it's an illusion. Likewise if you successfully identify the school of magic using detect magic or arcane sight. |
