Hello,

I just got Magic of Incarnum, and after going through it I have a question about some of the feats.

the set-up:
Shape Soulmeld gives you the ability to shape one soulmeld (and bind it to a chakra if it's open to you)
Open Least/Lesser/Greater Chakra says "you can now bind a soulmeld ... to that chakra"

So if you just have those two feats, could you bind the soulmeld to a chakra? From the way it's worded, I would be inclined to say yes, but that raises the question about whether one of the incarnum classes could take the Open X Chakra feat and gain another bind (or maybe just a bind specific to the opened chakra?)

I'd be inclined to say "yes" because you ARE spending a feat just to open a single Chakra, so gaining one 'bind' that's specific to that chakra doesn't seem broken, though I'm not sure if thats what was intended.

What do other people think?

Yeah, you got it.

But only to the chakra you have open, of course.

Yeah; I'd allow that. It does seem kind of wasteful to spend a feat just to get an extra chakra-specific bind, though.
