Can't find any proper source to site in the books. :( Try looking in the description of the Headband of Intellect itself. DMG, page 258. No, the item does not give you more skill points. Not even if you keep it on when you level. |

I went to the FAQ first, and it was a comment I found there that led me to look at the description of the Headband. There are lots of rules, and it's easy to miss a single line now and then.
