Lilinthra 04-09-08, 04:04 PM	Nope. In fact, even if you knew where the invisible creature was, you don't get an Attack of Opportunity while it still has Total Concealment. Total Concealment: If you have line of effect to a target but not line of sight he is considered to have total concealment from you. You can’t attack an opponent that has total concealment, though you can attack into a square that you think he occupies. A successful attack into a square occupied by an enemy with total concealment has a 50% miss chance (instead of the normal 20% miss chance for an opponent with concealment). You can’t execute an attack of opportunity against an opponent with total concealment, even if you know what square or squares the opponent occupies.

I am sure I've read it somewhere, but the where escapes me. ETA : Lilinthra has found it for us. :)

StevenO 04-09-08, 11:34 PM	Of course if you are visible (Detect Invisible, True Seeing, Blindsight) then they WOULD get an AoO even if you are undetected by others. This should be obvious but some players may think that just because they are "invisible" doesn't mean they are to everyone.

I feel like a dumbass now cuz' my group and I were unsure for quite some time and quite partial to Invis. Basically, we ruled per Invis Combat that you could take an AoO against an Invisible enemy if you coudl zero them via Spot or Listen. This is tricky, but wasn't terribly hard against someone w/ a big ACP or lack of stealth skills as class skills. Thanks for the education.

I knew where to look because my PC was in a similar "can I take an AoO on invisible guy?" situation a year or two ago and the DM found that bit post-session.
heffroncm 04-11-08, 06:01 PM	d'oh. Wish i knew this six months ago. my PC was the 'Invisible Guy,' and my DM rolled 9 AoO. 6 of which hit. Dead wizard...
