I was thinking of allowing the characters to cast the spells without the Full Round Action limit which is generally imposed upon instant casters. Has anyone attempted this? Did it turn out okay? Was it a disaster? The item only works about 3 times a day, so I'm hoping that it wouldn't offset things too badly, but wanted to make sure it hadn't ruined anyone's games. ((Apologies if this should have gone in the general DM area. I began to post there and decided that this is more of a rules thing.)) |

Overall it had no negative impact on the game and generally increased the fun had by everyone. |

Possession of a metamagic rod does not confer the associated feat on the owner, only the ability to use the given feat a specified number of times per day. A sorcerer still must take a full-round action when using a metamagic rod, just as if using a metamagic feat he possesses. Nope. |
