papasith 04-03-08, 12:00 AM	A few people in my game are argueing on an acspect of the monks belt. it says "you gain the ac of a 5th level monk. this ac bonus functions just like the monks ac bonus." they want to argue that for a non monk, this allows you to add wis to ac. i disagree personally, but want others input. has this been addressed in some errata already? what is the general concensus of how this works?
Wih 04-03-08, 01:59 AM	The AC of a 5th level monk is WIS+1 while you aren't immobilized, as long as you aren't wearing armour or a shield. The FAQ clarifies this as being the case.
Merestil Haye 04-03-08, 07:02 AM	The belt essentially gives the wearer the class ability of a 5th level monk to add 1 + Wis bonus (if any) to their armour class. It has all the limitations and restrictions a 5th level monk would have if they want to keep that bonus to AC. If they put on any armour, pick up a shield or carry too much baggage, their bonus goes away.

Yes. Note, however, that the wearer gains the AC bonus only when unarmored and unencumbered, since the belt clearly states that "this AC bonus functions just like the monk’s AC bonus."'
