| Kouk03-16-08, 02:47 AM | Everything is worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it. In short: The DM decides. EDIT: In long: Many factors influence the price you can sell something for. Consider what the supply of said parts are relative to the demand of those parts. If there is a thriving Wizard Guild in town, then demand for obscure monster bits might be high -- but if you are in a backwater farming village, demand for the spleen of an Umber Hulk is probably very low. You also have to consider the risk the seller (and the buyer) takes. Whether that risk is collecting the materials themselves, or risking the law by smuggling it and selling on the black market. It could be financial risk of investment returns as well. |
