| Buron08-06-07, 07:40 AM | Quick question: do PrCs act as normal classes for experience penalty purposes? if so, where in the books is it stated? Thank you. |
| Thurbane08-06-07, 07:51 AM | The section on Prestige Classes: Taking a prestige class does not incur the experience point penalties normally associated with multiclassing. |
| Buron08-06-07, 08:30 AM | The section on Prestige Classes: What edition, book and page?? I can't find that statement in my 3.5 DMG, althought I could swear I've seen it somewhere. I've been arguing over this for months with a player that states that they do have a penalty. Please help me show him some solid proof so he can STFU :weep: |
| Shaggy_Shaggs08-06-07, 08:34 AM | It's not in the 3.5 DMG, and that was a goof. You can find it in errata for the 3.5 DMG, and you can find it in the SRD (which is basically the core books + psionics + epic + unearthed arcana, minus intellectual property, + errata fixes). SRD on multiclassing into a PrC (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/prestigeClasses/prestigeClasses.htm) |
