Taking a prestige class does not incur the experience point penalties normally associated with multiclassing.

What edition, book and page??:confused: I can't find that statement in my 3.5 DMG, althought I could swear I've seen it somewhere. I've been arguing over this for months with a player that states that they do have a penalty. Please help me show him some solid proof so he can STFU :weep:

08-06-07, 08:34 AM It's not in the 3.5 DMG, and that was a goof. You can find it in errata for the 3.5 DMG, and you can find it in the SRD (which is basically the core books + psionics + epic + unearthed arcana, minus intellectual property, + errata fixes).
