Protection from X, do they stack? [Archive] - Wizards Community

06-28-07, 09:54 AM I am creating a very paranoid NPC scholar that is accompaning my PCs on a mission.

As part of a joke I want him to have 5 magic items that generate continuous effect Protection from Evil, Good, Law, Chaos and one of his own creation Neutral.

Would have AC and Save bonuses Stack since any creature will fit into 2 of those catigories?

06-28-07, 10:20 AM Protection spells grant a +2 deflection bonus to AC and a +2 resistance bonus on saves vs chaos, evil, law, good and (in your case neutral). So, it still would be the same sort of bonus granted to AC (deflection) or saves (resistance), so they wouldn't stack, imho. :)

As written in the rules, bonus from with the same name do not stack
The bonus will work with everyone except "true neutral" creatures, but only +2 to AC and +2 to saves
Only that "invented" item will help him to override that "neutral thing"
