papasith 03-01-08, 03:51 PM	one of my players recently realized something kind of silly and am curious what others thing of it. basicaly he has quick draw and two weapon fighting, his arguement is that as long as one weapon is not draw he can make his first set of attack with two hands on his primary weapon, the draw his off hand weapon as a free action, and make his attacks with it right after. any thoughts on this? (im leaning towards not allowing it mainly just for retartedness, but wanted other opinions)
Slimgauge 03-01-08, 04:11 PM	The rules on actions state If you get more than one attack per round because your base attack bonus is high enough, because you fight with two weapons or a double weapon or for some special reason you must use a full-round action to get your additional attacks. The rules on special attacks state If you wield a second weapon in your off hand, you can get one extra attack per round with that weapon. I would rule that you'd have to be wielding BOTH weapons at the start of your full action (not necessarily the start of the round) and wield them both for the entire full action (although you could still drop one/both as a free action after your full attack action was over) to be eligible for the extra attack per round. Otherwise how do you enforce the penalties for two weapon fighting on that first attack before the second weapon is even drawn ? Especially if he had a choice of secondary weapon between a light weapon and a regular weapon (because that changes the penalty to the primary attack). Let him quickdraw before his full attack and still get both, but if he quickdraws in the middle of the full attack, he doesn't get the secondary attack because he wasn't wielding both weapons (and therefore taking the appropriate penalties) for the first attack. Now if he gets a second attack because his BAB is high enough (+6 or higher) that's a different story. Then he could take his first attack two-handed, quickdraw a second weapon and then attack with it.
