| RedRory08-10-07, 08:09 PM | Quick query that came up in my last session; does the Str bonus from Bull's Strength stack with the rage of a barbarian? PHB doesn't state the type of bonus the Barb gets when he rages. I allowed it but not sure if I should. Thanks. |

The barbarian's rage should also stack with the rage spell since the class feature is unnamed, but I could see a DM making a ruling otherwise given the spell description: The effect is otherwise identical with a barbarian’s rage except that the subjects aren’t fatigued at the end of the rage. EDIT: In addition, from the PHB and SRD: In a rage, a barbarian temporarily gains a +4 bonus to Strength, a +4 bonus to Constitution, and a +2 morale bonus on Will saves, but he takes a -2 penalty to Armor Class. So part of the barbarian's rage is a morale bonus. So in theory the Will save bonus for rage and the rage spell should not stack. |
