| lamrar03-28-08, 08:03 AM | Not by default, but several ablilites, such as the feat Point Blank Shot and the rogues sneak attack only work when within a certain range. The only way distance affects ranged attacks is by giving a -2 penalty per range increment between the shooter and the target. |

It's called Coup De Grace, it's described on page 306 of the PHB, and it can be done with a bow or crossbow if the conditions are right. Done correctly, there is very little chance of the target living through it. |
