(because that is all that is expected in standard play) Can it be used to reduce the reload time for the optional Renaissance era Pistol and Musket? If it can, does it reduce the Standard Action Reload time to a Move Action, like the Heavy Crossbow's Fullround to Move, or does it reduce the Standard Action to a Free Action, like the Light and Hand Crossbow's Move to Free? |
| Marcus Majarra03-07-07, 01:56 PM | Per the RAW, Rapid Reload doesn't work with renaissance weapons. You'll have to house rule a feat for this. |
| xaqariah03-07-07, 03:56 PM | True. Is there a precident for this, in other Wizards suplements (d20 modern?) that might also have "Rapid Reload" (or something similar), but re-written with other "loadable" weapons, in mind? (I'm not asking for direct quotes that might create copyright issues, but if it's out there, I'd appreciate being pointed in the right direction.) :D |
| Marcus Majarra03-08-07, 03:24 AM | Quoting the System Reference Document never creates copyright issues. As a matter of fact, there is precedent for this in d20 Modern Core: Prerequisite: Base attack bonus +1. Benefit: Reloading a firearm with an already filled box magazine or speed loader is a free action. Reloading a revolver without a speed loader, or reloading any firearm with an internal magazine, is a move action. Normal: Reloading a firearm with an already filled box magazine or speed loader is a move action. Reloading a revolver without a speed loader, or reloading any firearm with an internal magazine, is a full-round action. |
