| Inyotef11-03-07, 04:49 PM | I have a player that was bitten and cursed by a Seawolf (a type of lycanthrope) in my game. The cleric cast Remove Curse on the player but failed his caster level check (DC15) to remove the curse. Does the cleric automatically know that he failed to remove the curse when the spell fails? |

However, the recepient of the spell must succeed a DC 20 Will save to break the curse. The caster knows if the spell succeeded. If the save fails, the process must be repeated again. |

A seawolf, however, is not a lycanthrope and carries a unique curse. Furthermore, the caster knows if he failed to remove the curse on a failed CL check. As a general rule, it's explicitly stated when the character is unaware of the success or failure of his checks. |
