Is it just me, or does it seem like Track really should be a class skill for the scout? I mean it fits the flavor of the class perfectly from my point of view.

Personally, I don't agree with the need for a Track feat in the first place, Id prefer the entire thing just be based off survival checks.

If Track were to be made a class feature, where should it be obtained? 1st level?

Any thoughts on this?

I'm pretty sure they can obtain it as one of their bonus feats.
And not all scouts are for tracking.

sure, its one of their bonus feats, but by that same argument, not all rangers are for tracking either, just as much as, say, a druid is, my argument is that they would be tracking just as much as a ranger, so im wondering why it isnt a class ability.

Rangers received Track as a holdover from previous editions when they did that so much better than everyone else. Today they get the bonus feat Track but there are lots of other classes that could have the skill to do it just as well.
