| Annadeus08-05-07, 01:54 PM | I wonder if anyone can help with a problem I'm having with the rules for the Snatch and Swallow feat (page 73 Draconomicon). The description indicates a swallowed creature can slice it's way out by doing a certain amount of damage as indicated on the table below. But I don't see the table below. The table at the top of page 74 indicates how much bludgeoning damage the creature takes, and how much energy damage the creature takes but not how much damage they need to do to get out. I also don't find a Draconomicon errata anywhere. Does anyone know how much damage the swallowed creature should do to get out? And what is the AC required to hit? Or is presumed that you wouldn't miss perhaps? If the rule can't be found anywhere I would greatly appreciate people's suggestions. According to the Monster Manual the Tarrasque can swallow too and the damage necessary to get out is 50 with an AC of 25 to hit, so if all else fails I'll go with that. |

Perhaps it's 10 plus half of the creature's natural armor? That would match with the Tarrasque, anyway. The damage value consistently seems to be between 25 and 50, but I have no idea where the numbers come from. |
