If you have Enervate Spell (+50% damage to living creatures, but -50% damage to undead) and Empower Spell, does this result in +100% damage (additive) or +125% damage (multiplicative)?

If the spell does damage that isn't HP damage, does it still apply?

Both of these get applied to the spell after you've come up with the spells un-altered results. Say we used Inflict Moderate Wounds. 2d8+3 is the base. Say we roll a total of 9(an average roll). The random variable here is the 9 so it's increased by 50% (4.5 or just 4) = 13. So our total is 16. Now comes Enervate spell. +50% to living, -50% to undead. So we do 24 damage to living.... and actually, lessen the effective healing power of the spell by healing undead by only 8.... Well, seeing as all I know about Enervate is what you typed, this is the amount of logic I can come up with.

Lightning would be a better example. Min 5d6 avg roll 17 damage. Empower makes this total 25. Enervate makes this 37 vs living, 13 vs undead.

I don't know the answer to your 2nd query.

So then the answer is 125%.

Second question still stands, and adding a third. If you cast a spell that doesn't do HP damage but still does damage (example: anything that does stat damage) can you add an inspiration point (factorum class feature) to the damage roll?

They are additive, not multiplicative. The only thing in D&D that is multiplied normally are real-world values such as distance, everything else that adds a percentage to the base value (e.g. critical hits with a lance while charging).

Also, the sage ruling on something like inflict wounds or such the like is that the +50% is to the total numeric range, so 2d8+3 with empower spell is (2d8+3)*150% rather than (2d8)*150%+3.

Also, the sage ruling on something like.....

EMPOWER SPELL [METAMAGIC]

Benefit: All variable, numeric effects of an empowered spell are increased by one-half. Saving throws and opposed rolls are not affected, nor are spells without random variables. An empowered spell uses up a spell slot two levels higher than the spell’s actual level.

"+3" is not a "variable, numeric effect." All "sage advice" MUST be carefully read and then reread.

However, both 2d8+3 and 2d8+Caster Level are variable, numeric effects.
