Stack Feats during a combat action (?) [Archive] - Wizards Community

08-03-07, 05:27 PM Can a character stack Point Blank Shot with Rapid Reload, Combat Expertise while hidden and making a Sneak Attack on a stunned opponent while making a Full Round Attack?

For that matter, is there a limit as to how many Feats can be combined for an attack action whatsoever? Can Rapid Reload, Combat Expertise and Point Blank shot be stacked?

I have always been confused about this question, whereas if there is some sort of limit that is imposed upon Feat stacking during a combat action.

08-03-07, 05:50 PM Well, First of all, Point Blank Shot and Rapid Reload are both only for ranged weapons (point blank can be used with thrown too) while Combat expertise is only for melee combat.

But, no, there is no numerical limit on how many feats can be used together. For example, you could use Power attack, Weapon Finesse, Combat Expertise and Improved Sunder all on one attack.
Feats only don't stack if their descriptions say so or if the actions required to use them conflicts (such as Many Shot and Rapid Shot).

EDIT - Or better yet, you could use Power attack, improved sunder, weapon finesse, Combat expertise, Improved Trip, Improved Disarm and Whirlwind attack all in one action, as long as you threaten at least 3 enemies :D
And then there are other passive feats, like the weapon focus line.
Oh, throw in Great Cleave too :D

PB+1 to hit inside 30'
Rapid Reload-reduces reload time to the next lowest from listed time for said weapon.
Combat Expertise-penalty to Hit for extra AC ?why? stunned opponent is flat-footed, and your hidden

Full Round Attack is simply the amount of time in the round your dedicating to attacking.

Not really. As long as they don't say they can't stack(ie-weapon focus is one weapon per each weapon focus taken).

So one could, at the same time use(in just feats): twin sword style, two weapon fighting, weapon focus(Sh Swd), Dodge, Combat Expertise, two-weapon defence. All these work just fine at the same time.

He cannot use Combat Expertise and make a ranged attack. Other than that, yes, Point Blank Shot and Rapid Reload stack. I don't quite understand why they wouldn't or shouldn't.

08-03-07, 08:09 PM The answer is as many as you can, but some feats are exclusive of others. For example you either rapid shot or many shot, but not both. You allso cannot spring attack and use improved charge, nor can you use improved trip and improved sunder with the same action. There is some inherent logic to this, just see what the feat itself requires you to do.

But feats are not inherently limited and you can use all thaty are applicable.
