04-03-08, 11:23 PM I have a player who wants to take the 'Many Shot' feat once he has a high enough BAB. Right now he has a 14 DEX. He plans to take his 4th level point and add it into DEX. making it 15. He then wants to buy 'Gloves of Dexterity +2' to raise his DEX to 17.

Would this make him able to take the 'Many Shot' feat? It has a prereq. of 17 DEX, I know that for sure, but I am unsure if that's a base DEX of 17 or if it's all bonuses added on.

04-04-08, 12:43 AM He doesn't require a Base DEX of 17, just a DEX of 17. This means he can take the feat, but he can't use it as long as he isn't wearing a +2 DEX item.

Not exactly sure what you are asking but if his gloves make up the gap in his dex so that he gets the feat, then he has the feat only while he possesses the prerequisites(meaning... if he took off the gloves he would lose the feat).

He would retain the feat itself, but would not be able to use it.

But as soon as his Dex was restored to the threshold, he could once again benefit from the feat.
