| Speters051906-05-07, 04:47 PM | Where in the 3rd ed. (not 3.5) DMG can I find AC bonuses for mundane armor/non enchanted armor? (specifically mithril chain shirt) |
| Kouk06-05-07, 05:13 PM | The armor bonus is the same, it is still a chain shirt. It just happens to be made out of mithral, and so is lighter. The mithral chain shirt happens to be exactly the same in 3.5, so the SRD will work. There are also 3rd edition SRDs but you have to hunt for them a bit more. |
| Speters051906-05-07, 05:26 PM | Ok, let me reiterate my question. What page could I find the bonuses listed, for each specific armor?--and I don't know what SRD stands for... |
| PenderGrass06-05-07, 05:52 PM | I don't recall them being listed in the DMG (in either the 3.5 or 3.0 versions). This is likely the reason why you can't find the page number as they are listed in the PHB. :dragon: **** |
| lears_fool06-05-07, 05:54 PM | And the SRD is the System Reference Document, the freely available part of D20 that's available online. It's in lots of places, including the Wizards site itself and (for your precise link) http://www.d20srd.org/srd/equipment/armor.htm |
| mvincent06-05-07, 06:59 PM | Where in the 3rd ed. (not 3.5) DMG can I find AC bonuses for mundane armor/non enchanted armor? (specifically mithril chain shirt)It's available here (http://www.opengamingfoundation.org/srd.html) if desired. It says: "Mithral Shirt This very light chain shirt is made of very fine mithral links. Speed while wearing a mithral shirt is 30 feet for Medium-size creatures, or 20 feet for Small. The armor has an arcane spell failure chance of 10%, a maximum Dexterity bonus of +6, and no armor check penalty. It is still considered light armor. The shirt weighs 10 pounds. Caster Level: -; Prerequisite: -; Market Price: 1,100 gp." |
| Speters051906-05-07, 09:33 PM | THANKS |
| Mystic Lemur06-05-07, 11:36 PM | I think my 3.0 DMG was special... It had charts in the back with all that useful stuff grouped into one place. I think that was what I missed most about the conversion... That and them moving the XP table. Do you know how long it took me to get used to that?!? |
| Lilinthra06-06-07, 10:59 AM | Probably not as long as it took me to find the flying manueverability table. ;) |
| Murrdox06-06-07, 12:04 PM | Ugh, yes moving the XP table sucked. I remember scouring the PHB for recommended character wealth levels for a long time the first time I needed to find it in the 3.5 book too. |
