swift action spells [Archive] - Wizards Community

09-22-07, 04:01 PM i think i already know the answer to be yes, but i just want to be sure.

if you cast a spell as a swift action, then take a move action, you could still cast another spell as a standard action right?

i dont recall ever seeing a limit of one spell per round or anything like that, but like i said, just want to be sure.

09-22-07, 04:05 PM Yes it's true, you can cast a swift spell and use a standard action to cast another spell, provided that spell has a cast time of a single standard action, of course (since some don't). Besides if this wasn't possible, there would be almost no point to the Quicken spell feat :)

09-24-07, 02:35 PM Yup. You are limited to one Swift action (or immediate), one move action (or two if no standard), and one standard action. The order you do them in doesn't matter. You could cast your standard action spell, move, and then do your swift action... the order is irrelevant.
