| scoobs04-05-07, 05:38 PM | Last one today, sorry :D I've noticed that sometimes (within this particular campaign anyway), it is specified that PC's can make a search check to find traps. In this case it is a note on the wall of which a ladder is fastened to remind the NPC that one of the ladder's rungs is loose. As the PC's climb down said ladder, do I tell them to roll the die for a search, by default, or as they climb down the ladder, do they have to actually have to tell me they are searching for such a note on the wall to be warned of the loose rung, and if found fix the ladder for the other members, or just tell them about it as a free move? |
| Magnus02904-05-07, 05:53 PM | If the PC's say they search, they get a chance to notice the the loose rung. I would also, since it is a note and not some sort of hidden switch, make a spot check for each to notice the note. |
