Well, Im very confused right now. I had a debate with a PC about how many hits she gets...

She's a Ranger lvl 7, two weapon fighting, and weapon finesse. She usually uses a longsword in her right hand and a shortsword in her off hand... So in battle we think it goes like this:

BA: +7/+2
Dex Bonus: +5 (weapon finesse)
Penalty: -2/-2 (off hand light, two weapon fighting)

Full attack:
Longsword +10/+5
Short sword +10/+5

Am I right?? If I got messed up... help please?

Yep. Long sword is not something that you can finesse, because it isn't a light weapon. Check out either the SRD or your PHB to find out which weapons are considered light weapons (I believe the Short sword is considered a light weapon).

So the full Attack should be something as follows:

Longsword = BAB (7) + Str Bonus - 2 for TWS fighting
Swordsword = BAB(7) + Dex Bonus (5) -2 for TWS fighting

One other small correction:

Two-weapon fighting only gives a single attack with the off-hand, no matter how high the base attack bonus is.

In order to get that second attack with the short sword (the 4th attack total) you need another feat - Improved Two Weapon Fighting.

In order to get that second attack with the short sword (the 4th attack total) you need another feat - Improved Two Weapon Fighting.... which the ranger gains as part of the level 6 ability Improved Combat Style (assuming they chose TWF).

Very true, I had forgotten about this :)
