Does anyone have a table for unarmed damage for non monk characters.
does a fighter of higher level deal more than just d6 points of damage?
I can't find this so if anyone can help out..

In the Weapon Table, it says an Unarmed Strike is 1d3 for a medium character and 1d2 for a small one. Using the table for smaller and larger weapons, you can deduce the rest yourself; example, a tiny creature would deal 1 damage, and a large creature would deal 1d4 damages.
But quite often, large creature will have natural weapons (claw, bite, or at least slam) that will deal more damage.

does a fighter of higher level deal moreNope, but I suppose he could power attack for more. Plus he'll likely have higher strength, and make more attacks.

Non-Monks do not progress their unarmed damage. Here's a nifty table:

S = d2
M = d3
L = d4
H = d6
G = d8
C = 2d6

Anything smaller than small deals 1.

Actually, according to the standard damage progressions (which are not contradicted anywhere on this matter to my knowledge), any diminutive or fine creature doesn't have an unnarmed strike (since their damage is -)

Isn't it actually a rule that, in event of an attack dealing less than 1 damage, be it from strength penalty or small stature, it deals 1 damage? Obviously this is before it's applied to anything like damage reduction.

Isn't it actually a rule that, in event of an attack dealing less than 1 damage, be it from strength penalty or small stature, it deals 1 damage?Yup. That's for things like when your strength modify makes your damage something like 1d2-2, etc.

However, when D&D uses a "-" instead of a zero (as in the case of ability scores) it normally implies that the stat doesn't even exist (so adding to it cannot be done).

From the 3.5 FAQ (if desired):
"Having no ability score (that is, an entry of “—”) is
different from having a score of 0."

I don't think all writers got the memo though. I personally think that say, a Str 40 mighty mouse would do 0+15 unarmed damage rather than not having any unarmed damage at all (or doing only 1 damage).

The Tome of Battle has a feat called Superior Unarmed Strike that increases monk and non-monk unarmed damage.

That seems game-breaking...in tandem with aura of chaos...:P

Not really. Aura of Chaos says 'if you roll' the highest number. There's no rolling if there's only one result, so the Aura doesn't kick on.
