When using nothing but unarmed strikes (non monk) with the improved unarmed strike feat, can you be considered to be using two weapons if the appropriate penalties are applied? If a character is using a double weapon, can they use the Two-weapon Rend feat? If so, can it be done with a non slashing weapon? Ex. Quarterstaff. If one takes Melee Weapon Mastery, does the bonus granted by it stack with the Weapon Focus and Weapon Specialization feats that are required to gain Melee Weapon Mastery? Thanks, -Duk

Yes. If a character is using a double weapon, can they use the Two-weapon Rend feat? If so, can it be done with a non slashing weapon? Ex. Quarterstaff. Is rend applicable to non-slashing weapons? In the very least, yes for slashing double weapons such as orc double axe. If the feat does not say anything about what sort of weapon applies, then yes for quarterstaff as well (but unlikely). If one takes Melee Weapon Mastery, does the bonus granted by it stack with the Weapon Focus and Weapon Specialization feats that are required to gain Melee Weapon Mastery? Yes.
