| tylara6706-14-07, 10:32 PM | So, the undead type is immune to effects with the Mind-Affecting attribute and effects with the Morale attribute. What if an effect has neither of these attributes, but gives a morale bonus? Can intelligent undead receive that bonus? Can intelligent undead penetrate their own immunity to Mind-Affecting effects, such as a ghast incarnate using Bloodwar Gauntlets? Edit: OK, let me clarify my question: do effects that give morale bonuses count as [Morale] effects (and thus [Mind-Affecting] effects) even if they do not explicity have the [Morale] or [Mind-Affecting] descriptors? |
| runestar06-14-07, 10:39 PM | Unfortunately...no. Immune means immune, whether you like it or not. From the undead traits entry in the MM, Immunity to all mind-affecting effects (charms, compulsions, phantasms, patterns, and morale effects). |
| tylara6706-14-07, 10:45 PM | The thing is, that "morale effects" is a subgroup of mind-affecting effects; I've seen spells with [Mind-Affecting] [Morale] as the type. Does that automatically include bonuses with the morale type, even if they come from effects that do not have the morale type? |

| itwasntme06-14-07, 10:58 PM | Undead are immune to things even if they like it or not if it is mind effecting or Morale the chances are there immune even if they didnt want to be immune Inless that undead monster Specificly states that it isnt immune to something then its not besides that Yes All Undead will not be able to gain benefits from Bonus Moral becouse ... after all Zombies and Skeletons have no brains you ask them what moral means and the only answer you'll get is "Brains" some undead can be effected by things they normoly are immune but only becouse THAT undead specificly said so All other undead are immune to both the negitives and positives of things if something was immune to fire they are immune even if they can get healed by the fire there immune to it ... inless the monster/creature specificly state that its not (Or gives some other form like , As or Like,) |
