I was planning to have a potential combat in water and I quickly read the rules but I don't find them clear at all  It's basically just a table with not a lot of explanations. So what I would like to know is the following: 1) In the table, under the slashing/bludgeoning column, what does -2/half mean ? I guessed that it is -2 on your attack roll and you deal half damage but a little description of what's in the table would have been nice 2) I don't understand why they put "Off-balance" as a column  . Isn't that a condition ? From what I understood, you are off-balanced when you are in none of the aboce conditions (meaning I suppose when you fail your swim check) 3) If a standard player wants to attack something but doesn't move, does it need to make a swim check if he wants to attack ? If he fails, I suppose that he will be in the "None of the above" situation ? Meaning that he will be off-balanced. If anybody could shed some light on these rules, that would be awesome. Or if you have a link to more understandable rules it would be great too. Thanks |

I think they put it there to be complete. 3) I don't find any very clear rule on this, but I would say as swim check as a free action would be called for to keep himself 'balanced' while underwater even if he doesn't move in a round. |
