| tos_shai_hulud04-24-08, 09:18 PM | When a True Neutral cleric of a deity like Obad-Hai casts the spell Visage of the Deity, does he choose whether he wishes to cast the good version or evil version when he casts it, or must he cast only the version that coincides with his turning/rebuking ability? The cleric entry says that a cleric is only prohibited from casting spells that oppose their alignment, and a neutral cleric of Obad-Hai doesn't seem to have any opposing alignment restrictions, so it seems that he might be able to cast either, but I just wanted to make sure. |

As for RAW, the spells seem to have no effect if cast by neutral clerics. They specify what happens when you're good and when you're evil. Considering the spells key off of the alignment you have at the time, I don't think I like where that goes when creature subtypes for alignment allow a cleric to count as both good and evil at the same time. |
