In the DMG there are prices to buy potions but no word of how much the individual materials would cost a player with the "craft potion" feat.

Please help if you can.

Keep going to the back of the magic item section ... around the special materials there's a section on making magic items.

A Potion is a "Single use, Use-activated" item. For a base cost of 50 gp * spell level * caster level.

Cheers!

Go to page 286 of your DMG: Creating Potions. Materials for creating potions cost 25 gp x spell level x caster level, plus any expensive material components that may apply.

For any magical items, the creation price is 1/2 the base price, and you must spend 4% XP. There are feats in the ebberron books that can lessen this.
