| Malcaor06-13-07, 04:33 PM | I am trying to help a friend make a wizard necromancer. He has taken necromancy as his specialization, and is yet to choose his unusable fields. His intelligence is an 18. According to the abilities section he gets 1 additional 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th lvl spell. Then from his specialization he gets 1 extra spell of necromancy per day. Does this 1 spell go all the way up to 9th level? or is it only an add on to ones he can already cast? If the latter do the Int bonus spells count as ones he can already cast? Someoen please explain how to do this. |

From being specialized, you get 1 extra spell per day of each castable level and this goes all the way up to level 9 spells. This is offset by not being able to cast some utility spells later on in life. |

| Neutronium_Dragon06-13-07, 08:26 PM | This is also why some classes list "0" as the number of spells per day at a given level. When you have "0" you can add your bonus spells (if any) to it and thus actually cast a spell of that level, whereas "-" doesn't allow you access to any bonus spells. |
