Incenjucar 09-24-06, 08:32 PM	So, right. I've been busy getting a degree the last year or two, and so pretty much had to set D&D aside beyond the occassional Dragon magazine. I haven't been in on things since Sandstorm came out. The whole PHB2, et cetera pretty much left me blinking when I finally got back to a book store. Of the books that have come out since then, which have stood out as good buys and good reads, of the generic D&D manuals?
obrysii 09-24-06, 08:40 PM	Eh. WoTC has shifted from a crunch-based supplement format to a more flavor-heavy style, with an emphasis on "new-user friendliness". Everything past the PHB2 and Spell Compendium have been only medicore at best, unless you like simple, substaintal flavor text.

swichfang 09-24-06, 08:48 PM	Hey look into the Tome of Battle, a crunch and flavor heavy option for combat. As for any other books I havent really gotten any since sandstorm.
