cwslyclgh 12-03-05, 09:13 PM	what are you talking about, point blank shot and precise shot are both exactly the same in 3.5 as they were in 3.0 and posts such as this should probably go on the skills and feats board... Point blank shot gives a bonus to hit and damage to creatures at close range... that is what shooting somebody at point blank range is, shooting them at close range. precise shot allows you to shoot into melee with out the -4 penalty, that is what being precise is aiming your shots in such a way as to hit what you are aiming at despite the swirl of combat. of course from the last sentance of your post it seems that you might have been just trolling... in which case logic will not matter to you anyway.
Rumple_Cragstan 12-03-05, 09:19 PM	What are you talking about? They're 2 seperate feats! Pt. Blank Shot = +1 to attk. and damage if your target is within 30ft. Precise Shot = Negate the penalties for firing into a melee look in the PHB, they're both right there.

It refers to close range, specifically so close that you do not have to aim slightly above your target due to gravity. Point Blank Shot gives you a bonus to ranged attacks within 30 ft., i.e. at point blank range. I got an idea. Why change Far Shot to Rapid Shot, Rapid Shot to Manyshot, and Manyshot to OMG Teh Arroes!!!
