Mat Smith 05-16-07, 08:34 PM	A small group of us went to check out the RCRG last season, and immediately thought, "Man, this place is full of gamers. Even if they don't play now, I bet more than half of these people (the fans) played D&D when they were 12." And then we saw an ad in the program asking for sponsors to buy a safety bumper. It didn't take much convincing to get the right people on-board with having D&D sponsor a bumper. (We've got some cool folks in charge of things around here.) Not too long after that, the "Hot Chicks in Padded Armor" bumper made its debut. It turns out that not only were people in the audience fans of D&D, but several of the rollergirls have also rolled a few d20s in their time. Our small group of roller derby-watching WotC folk seems to get a little bigger every bout, and several of us have season tickets now. It's a lot of fun. If you've got a league near you (and the sport is really growing in popularity, so you might), it's definitely worth checking out. –Mat

I've never seen the Bruisers personally but know/am faintly acquainted with any number of players and "beerleaders"...
