Allright! I've not found this before so here it goes! List all of the little abstract ways that you can drive your dm nuts. Mine is something that I learned from a friend.

But one cow weighing 750 pounds (or more) for 10gp, then butcher it and sell each pound of meat for 5 sp. Use some of the profit to hire others to do the same and then BAM! Your possibly one of the richest men in the game. Thats like 375 gold pieces for all of that meat. And at low levels that is possible for even a monk to do.

Next?

2)PC:I want to have an intricate backstory for my character
DM:okay, hod wo you want to do it?
PC:I want to have them start as a 1st lvl commoner, could you tone down the encounters (that youve been planning for months)?
DM:  :tantrum:

3) I want to play a kobold caster, I'll call him Nup Nup.

As to the cow, you wouldn't make 375 gold. A cow is not meatwad. You will make good money just not that crazy. The pound of meat is 6 sp so even at 3 sp wholesale you'd be looking at about 100-125 gp for rough butchering.

Try to play something from the CharOp World Records. When your DM shoots that one down, play another one. Repeat. He will become very very mad very very quickly.

Constantly try to use RL physics in D&D. For example, try to create fission bombs and antimatter explosions. (both of which are feasable)

In a group filled with LG characters and your character dies... bring a half-drow assassin into the first game and claim him to be the Paladin's long lost half brother.

Everybody plays an eccentric gnome illusionist.

Or, play a Cleric/Radiant sevant of pelor group. You'll never die.

Note to self, have flesh to stone and stone to flesh cast on the bones... Thanks for pointing that out! :)

#2 way to drive your DM whacko!

Invite me to your game (tis sad but more or less true in my groups games).

#1 way to drive your DM whacko!

Invite my brother in one of his 'moods' to your game (Don't tell him I said that though).

Last game I DMed with his character in it he indirectly managed to cause destruction over half a continent (at first level no less!).

great thread Idea by the way!

Have all the players agree before the game to play cookie cutter Drizzt knockoffs without telling the GM.

Then take turns taking each others turns.

:cookie: if he doesn't notice.

EDIT: Bonus score if you can successfully manage this while a player goes to the bathroom.

-there is the old half orc barbarian named Carl and your friend plays the half-orc barbarian named Karl - confusion ensues

-disintegrate every NPC you come accross

-"boil anthills" every chance you get

-play a diplomancer and convert every creature you come accross

And have him use a hammer. All the time. Soon he gets called 'Karl the Hammer'. (A DC20 Knowledge (History) Check would make that funny.)

Steal.

Thwart his plans to destroy you in his time-sensitive campaign by not turning up at the dungeon. Instead, wander to a small fishing village a ½ day down the coast.

Randomly attack all the DMs NPCs. I unintentionly done this once and (don't know how i managed to do it) actually managed to defeat and butcher a dragon that was meant to join and help the party and my friend had planned months of roleplaying off it. I guess i sometimes kill first, ask questions later.:P

If your DM has a rolls need to stay on the table rule, as most do, keep having the rolls juuuuust roll off to the floor, everytime, always claim it was 20 while retrieving it.

I houseruled that all sex in game is to be LARPed. On the table. With the DM. It is no longer an issue.

I like that! Kill them all and let (insert appropriate Diety name here) sort them out!

Also, use pen on all character sheets.

Ask DM if you can play two characters at the same time, then secretly swap gear back and forth between them as the need arises.

well you could take stuff from unforgotten-realms.com (http://www.unforgotten-realms.com)
most of that stuff is only posable if you over power your DM, like rob has
rob is able to over power the dm cuse the DM has no other freinds to play dnd with.
(Mike=DM)
doing things like this:
Rob: Hey Mike do you here that
Mike: no i most certenly heard nothing
Rob: sounds like wolfs mike
Mike: We are not stong erough to fight wolfs
Rob: but then a bunch or wolfs appear.

or something like this
Mike: the old begger asks for some food
Rob: WE ARE UNDER ATTACK!!!!!!!

so ya any thing that Rob dose works.

Share one PHB between six PCs.

Make your rolls when the DM isn't looking.

Withhold snacks until everyone gets a potion of heal.

Kender :D

lol I actually DMed an (almost)all-kender one-shot game... with about 10 players... The game began on a beach... and stayed on that beach. :bounce:
I've never gone whacko, but 1 player did : shame on him for playing the only non-kender in the group.:evillaugh

In an other game I played, the DM had actually gone whacko because of two kender PCs...:surrender the game didn't lasted very long...:rolleye2:

Back to the topic, I'd say :

Manage to suicide (at least) once per session, and always bring a new character as replacement. Then watch the DM trying to get you new hooks every session :plotting:

How'd he do that?

Are you sure you want to know? :gah:

Actually I am glad that you asked :)

It is a very long story...Hmmmmm how to sum it up?

Well his goblin Barbarian whose name I cannot recall let alone pronounce stole something from a troll at the start of the adventure and then escaped

He then set fire to part of a castle and the fire did not agree well with the court wizards fire ball potions so he managed to blow up half of the castle.

What!!? you say, That's not a very big continent!, Let's just say he started out small and worked his way up.

He joined an army of orcs who upon seeing the state of the kingdom and decided to attack. He defeated their chief and became their leader and then attacked the kingdom and leveled the buildings. Except for the castle which they took over and a certain hut containing a witch and the other PC in the adventure. Surrounded of course by all of the kings warriors and he himself.

Once the orcs were defeated by the kings knights the two PC's were thrown in the dungeon with magical blocking spells to ward off their escape.

They escaped.

Eventually the elves decided to go after the Barbarian who was in the middle of the sea having blown himself out of a locked and welded chest in the pirate captains cabin and fallen in the middle of the see.

The pirate ship of course set sail away from him at top speed fearing for their lives.

The elves laid waste to all they came to and in this way he indirectly wreaked half of the continent. They boarded thousands of ships and found him at sea. No they didn't get him.

The other PC was an elf and convinced the other elves that he was cute and so they brought him back to the mainland...Despite the warning of a certain pirate vessel not far from the coast.

Yes as the DM I am fully responsible for what happened. It was a silly adventure though. Because withought the whole group present the PC's had no incentive to play seriously and keep their characters alive so the game instantly went to the silly level. Which I cannot say was not fun (You know the kind where people are flung through stone walls withought taking a hit point of damage and old witches say "It's the weather in my bones" to all PC questions even those concerning the curses placed on their feet the night before in the witches one room mud hut about five feet by 3 feet big) Hey it was fun!

I hope that answers your question :)

Burn everything! Nothing makes a DM more POed then when you break the law in a town and then refuse to return to it and if you do you try to raise it to the ground.

Manage to suicide (at least) once per session, and always bring a new character as replacement. Then watch the DM trying to get you new hooks every session :plotting:

Actually, this is getting on my nerves lately in my game. The party is all evil, so I told them I would pull no punches. If they do something that would normally get them killed, they WILL die. Well this recently became a problem, because during the course of a quest, every single player died at least once, so none of them had the original character they set out with >_<.

They get done with the quest, have the lizardman eggs they needed, and then one says something that had me rocking back in my seat... "Um... which of our characters remembers where the wizard is we are supposed to deliver these to?" All the characters who knew had died. I sat dumbfounded for a few minutes and realized my error.

Hah! Thats great! Shocking pencil would just be soooo funny. Anyone else have ideas for this thread? I always thought the fact that for 3 sp a level you could hire henchmen to work for you... After enough levels you could have a small army of a decent level.
