| General_Ridley04-26-05, 08:54 PM | self explanatory, let's begin. 1. Using the dice to vote for class presidents by assigning a number to each candidate and rolling the appropriate die size. I will be using this method tomorrow. |
| The Shaman04-26-05, 09:26 PM | 2. Icebreaker at parties: "I knew as soon as I walked in that you had the highest Charisma modifier in the room." Hail to the king, baby. |
| Kolo04-26-05, 09:28 PM | Word to the wise; everything I'm suggesting is stuff that I've witnessed over years of gaming as actual things we D&D people do on a daily basis. Use at your own risk. 3) D4 Caltrops. Nasty, painful, probably not gonna make a stain on the carpet unless the poor victim is holding a drink and a subtle means of revenge-who is going to know you put it there? (based on my own experience of stepping on these things-ouch) 4) Use it to speak in code. I doubt the average passerby is going to understand "Well the first candidate obviously has many ranks in Diplomacy, but his policy is at best Chaotic Neutral, and his will save against opposing arguments is laughable." Perfect when you don't want people butting in on a political discussion, which some people inevitably will. 5) Use monster names to describe people quickly and effectively. you can either call someone a brainless brute who only thinks with his muscles, but it's quicker to simply say "Ogre", and if you're discreet and pick uncommon monsters, no one is wiser to your opinion of them. Interesting description include; -Mind Flayer (boring teacher who turns your brain to mush) -Nymph (I think you'd know why someone would be described thus ;)) -Dragon (bad tempered, greedy and has horrible halitosis) -Drow (Male; angsty and prone to shocking violence, female; Domineering) -Solar (Goody two shoes) -Balor (Explodes at the worst possible moment) Invent more as you like :) |
| Sorrowmoon04-26-05, 10:37 PM | 6-I've always used my dice to generate my lottery numbers |

| Flakster04-28-05, 06:40 PM | 7 - You could line up your books againest a wall, and make book jackets for em. Stuff like "Advanced Astro Physics" You can act like you know things when people come over! |
| Ged Coldplain04-28-05, 06:44 PM | 8 - annoy your friends by saying what skills or feats people you see might have or would benefit from having. |
| Azual04-28-05, 07:57 PM | D&D stat people. While there sitting next to you. um... she should have a 5 intelligence. Whats a five intelligence? Its REALLY smart! meanwhile, your friend can snicker as she thinks you're complementing her, but to all D&D nerds, thats an insult. |
| Ectoplasmoid04-29-05, 08:39 AM | Art project. Seriously, we had to make a three-dimensional sculpure out of cardboard. Guess what I made? I still have a giant(or at least ogre)-sized d4, d6, d8, d12, and d20 in my room. (The d10's not a regular polygon, so it didn't fit my theme.) I made the polygons, pasteled them, and covered them with tape to prevent smudging. And then I founf out the teacher was a D&D player. :D |

Unforturately, his annoying lil cousins were over for the day. One of them just wouldnt leave us alone. We locked the door and everything, and he just sat right outside it and put his fingers under the door. We hit his hands with various things for a couple mins and he stopped. About 5 mins later, he starts back up. I put my PHB on the floor of the room, and slide it toward the door. the corner of the book caught him right above his eye. didnt cut him, but did give him a good bruise. He left us alone after that.:P |

A frined of mine has D8 earrings, and as soon as in learn how to pierce through a die, I'm making a d20 necklace for myself. |
| Alcari Ambaron04-29-05, 05:01 PM | making a hole in a D20... take a column drill. take a good vice. insert really small drill slowly into d20. repeat with dice as you like. I have a D6-D12-D20-D12-D6(reapeat) necklace :D 13 - stop annoying people from bothering you there are some people (*refrains from naming them*) who just have to join in on EVERY conversation you have. once you start a conversation on +2 flaming shorswords and aboleth phisiology (sp) they tend to stop. |
