| kelcimer06-13-07, 04:16 AM | What names have you or your players called their groups in game? 1: Shattered Shield Company 2: Knights of Telkar (formerly Knights of the Mark) 3: Orange Company |
| roetroc06-13-07, 06:19 AM | 4. Mook's Minions |
| Steely_Dan06-13-07, 06:33 AM | 5.) The Jolly Rogerers |
| TwiddleStootch06-13-07, 12:30 PM | Not a name that has been used in-game yet, but it is on their list of possible group names: 6) The Dynamic Dwarven Duo Or DDD Comes from a two person party, a Dwarf Father/Son team. |
| lord_zack06-13-07, 12:36 PM | 7) The Cult of Pyro and allies Guess what they're favorite activity is? |
| foxtail06-13-07, 12:39 PM | Was actually discarded for a less funny name, but: 8) The Vrock-Blockers |
| cwslyclgh06-13-07, 12:44 PM | 9. The Big Bad Adventurers Club (it was also the name of our headquarters) |
| Steven_Arborosa06-13-07, 01:07 PM | The Party. |
| SpoonNinja06-13-07, 01:59 PM | Heroes of Longspruce. |
| sad_raven06-13-07, 02:06 PM | 12) The Band of the Tripod I used the tables in the DMG to roll up random furnishings for my dungeon's rooms. One of the results was a tripod, with nothing else in the chamber. During play the PCs thought that it must be part of some puzzle because it was so out of place, so they began carting it with them to different rooms and trying everything they could to figure out its secret. They became so mystified by it that they named their party after it. :P |
| jdarksong06-13-07, 02:11 PM | Companions of the Crown |
| KillerVole06-13-07, 02:33 PM | One party was going to name itself "Bust Oliche" (the evil organization they're fighting). Then they realized that they would be called BO. So they switched to "Oliche Busters". The campaign is now called the OB campaign, after the party. |
| Salick06-13-07, 02:35 PM | Warriors of Light and Virtue (mostly evil party) our saying was "Let us save your town!" |
| SkyOdin06-13-07, 02:36 PM | In the Eberron game I am in, the heroes are called the Brotherhood of Scions in actuality, but are known by the public as the Guild of Heroes. Back before the heroes became a world-spanning organization, the original founders were known in the Korrenberg chronicle as the Magnificent Seven . Currently, the second generation of heroes are a sub-group within the brotherhood known as the Vanguard. |
| DX205206-13-07, 03:00 PM | 17)Have blade will travel before you ask, I forgot how many paladins that party had, but I think it was more then 1. |
| Bone_Yard06-13-07, 05:09 PM | 18. Colateral Damage 19. The Sick Puppies |
| navar10006-13-07, 10:27 PM | 20: Hydra Individual party members had come up with their own names, some intending to use for their respective downtime groups. For example, the rogue will call his eventual thieves guild "Evolution". My warlock intends to create an information network, a group who buys and sells information. I'm calling it "CIA" - Cedric's Information Agency. (Character's name is Cedric). The druid is seeking to be Queen of the Elves. Since we all plan to be heads of various organizations yet we are united as one party, another player determined "Hydra" was the perfect name/metaphor. We agreed. |
| WilwarinAndamar06-13-07, 11:49 PM | 21. The Intrepid Heroes. It was almost tradition that every gaming session started with "When we last left our interpid heroes..." |
| TyWebb06-14-07, 01:10 AM | 22. Damage Incorporated |
| Identitystolen06-14-07, 01:21 AM | 23. The Doom(ed) Patrol Originally 'Doom Patrol', but after the PCs got their first assignment (merc campaign) one of the PCs added the 'ed' to doom. 24. Crash! Boom! Bash! Thud! Party consisting of 2 warforge (Boom & Thud), a orc (Bash), and a goblin (Crash) That was a fun, albeit short, campaign. 25. The Blight Brigade Actually and NPC group specializing in biological warfare in aforementioned merc campaign. |
| vineyard06-14-07, 01:22 AM | 26. Yellow yes, you read that right. In a campaign I was Dming, the party called themselves Yellow. The campaign did not last long however as it turned out that all the players had seperate mild forms of retardation....I should have expected with the whole Yellow thing. |
| StoneStokes06-14-07, 01:39 AM | 27. The Hand of Cauldron. We are playing in the Shackled City campaign, and there are five of us. |
| Knifechimp06-18-07, 12:49 PM | We are the STFU! Specially Trained Forces Unit! Hear our name and tremble with fear! |
| Phrennzy06-18-07, 04:19 PM | The Exploding Giraffes. |
| glorfon06-18-07, 05:35 PM | 28) The nerds of the round table (unfortunately though we played on an oval table a round one wasn't big enough for the maps. |
| Man in the Funny Hat06-18-07, 08:55 PM | Off the top of my head... 29. The Avengers 30. The Replacements 31. The Beach Mods (Marvel campaign) 32. Black Flag (secret sub-order within the Beach Mods) 33. The Flashing Blades Adventuring Company 34. The Heroes of Arabel (or HOA, pronounced HOO-AH! with a good military grunt :)) |
| Karish06-18-07, 09:11 PM | 35. Penumbral Quartet (Hunter group, four people who stalked demons, undead, and evil monsters/people for a living. All decked out in black, kinda Van Helsing like.) |
| Adrinor06-19-07, 01:13 AM | our group calls themselves "Guardians of Qualinesti" |
| DarkAngelPrime06-19-07, 01:25 AM | 36. Awesome Opossums Some NPC asked what we called ourselves, and that's what I jokingly said. Damn if it didn't stick with us for the next nine months (real time) of the campaign. We were also known for riding around in a tripped-out covered wagon called simply "Teh Wagon." That was also the zany campaign where where our male dwarf incessantly lactated milk with odd curative powers, our centaur fighter attempted to rape anything and all quadrupeds, and anyone wielding a spiked chain was a vampire in our eyes. |
| Mordent_Sage06-19-07, 02:55 AM | Our group was called the Crimson Canaries. The thinking behind it was that our group was sent in first, to see if it was safe for the rest of the crew. If we died, it wasn't safe. Then again, the captain didn't like us! |
| The Grig Fiddler06-19-07, 03:38 AM | The War Tusks half orc knights mounted atop dire boars. |
| Lord_Snow06-19-07, 10:40 AM | The Roughnecks Our mascott is a badger flexing his arm with a mean grin on his face, our war cry, "Send In The Badger!" this all happened when the party wizards used summon monster and ened up with a little badger...we were all quite disapointed at the time. till the badger helped provide flanking options and ened up doin a killing blow. now we all have high respect for the little critters. |
| seldom_seen06-19-07, 11:36 AM | We were the *Band of the Hand*, and we were in a prolonged expedition in the Underdark. I gotta admit, we stole it from a movie, whose title escapes me at this time. |
| Nentisys06-20-07, 11:08 AM | Im pretty sure we had a group of characters that called themselves the "Bleeding Sky". I REALLY can't be 100% accurate though. |
| Man in the Funny Hat06-20-07, 11:32 PM | I gotta admit, we stole it from a movie, whose title escapes me at this time. That would be Band of the Hand (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0090693/). :) |
| JolanthusTrel06-21-07, 07:41 AM | 41? Sisters of the long night. All the original members were thralls of a pison and made to work in an inn\brothel. When they were liberated, one of them who happened to be a noblewoman\assassin started training the rest in the craft so they are now self appointed protectors of women everywhere. |
| seldom_seen06-21-07, 10:36 AM | That would be Band of the Hand (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0090693/). :) Oh yeah...:D |
| mearrin6906-21-07, 11:07 AM | Admittedly uninspired: Diamond Lake Avengers. Our group in our Age of Worms campaign - that is, until all of the original characters were killed off by some undead death knight thingies. Now we're back to no name. M |
| Skara06-21-07, 11:16 AM | 42?: "I hate the goddam wizard but other than that, we're the Elven Company" Party was always indroduced by the elven monk, who hated the (gray) elven Wizard, who was chaotic neutral bordering on evil. But he was vital to their party, as long as he got his loot, he didn't hurt them. It was all elves, the third member was a wood elven ranger. "And, who might I ask, are you three elves?" "Well, I hate the ******* wizard, but other than that, we're the Elven Company". |
