| Forgotten_Warrior04-06-07, 08:57 PM | I have seen several competitions on this board and decided that it was time for me to make my own. I want to see the most creative, annoying curse that somebody can come up with. These curses can be cursed items, a spell with unpleasant results for the victim, or anything with annoying effects that you can come up with. These curses cannot cause any major damage because they are only annoying, lasting effects are allowed. I shall judge these posts every so often (about every week-end) and award the following prizes: first place- :chicken: second place- third place- :tissue: The most important rule of the competion is to keep the thread clean! I can't stress this enough. I will not be judging this week-end unless enough entries are submitted. |
| Djinn_in_Tonic04-06-07, 09:09 PM | Boots of Greasy Steps These spiffy boots look exactly like boots of spider climb, and register as such to all divination magic. However, once donned, they become coated in a thin layer of extremely greasy liquid and cannot be removed without a remove curse spell (see below) To take an attack or move action while wearing these boots requires a DC 20 balance check to take the action. If this check fails, the victim loses the action. If this check fails by 5 or more, the victim falls prone. Removing the boots requires a DC 25 Dexterity check, as well as the remove curse spell, as the substance makes gripping them almost impossible. The only forms of movement that do not require a balance check are flying, swimming, burrowing, or crawling (5ft/round). |
| Lord T Hawkeye04-06-07, 09:25 PM | The curse of the were...what? Just like lycanthrope except ditch the snarling beast, make it something silly and humiliating. Little harmless, cute, fuzzy animals for example. Or how about changing gender or other body modifications that happen on the full moon? Go nuts! |

Go one step further: CURSE OF THE WERE-CACTUS! CURSE OF THE WERE-BOULDER! CURSE OF THE WERE-TOE FUNGUS! (incidently, those hybrid forms would be really, really disturbing. :D) -The Djinn |
| Slightly_Unscrewed04-08-07, 07:54 PM | Pants of Burning Falsehood. These pants look like normal pants, until the wearer tries to lie. Then the pants catch on fire. The pants are not damaged by the fire, but all the other effects of catching on fire apply. The pants will ignite and fires started by them will burn regardless of location or situation (i.e underwater, outer space ). The pants will also ignite if someone says "Liar, liar, pants on fire." within 60 ft, regardless if the wearer has told any lies or not. The pants can only be removed via not telling a lie for two weeks, then casting Remove Curse on them. |
| Yodaman2304-08-07, 09:13 PM | Power to the Bestow Curse spell! Curse of Constipation. After the first day with the curse, everything appears normal, until the next day rolls around and your not feeling, regular. Every day after the initial cursing you get a -1 to all atks, dmg, and strength based skills. The subtractions stack after every day until the curse is removed. |
| Forgotten_Warrior04-20-07, 08:58 PM | Sorry for being late for such a long time, I ran into technical problems. Anyways... it is time to announce the winners! 1st place- Unscrewed receives the :chicken: for his/her Pants of Burning Falsehood. Although I must wonder if these flaming pants would damage a character. 2nd place- Djinn receives the  for his/her Boots of Greasy Step. 3rd place- Yodaman23 receives the :tissue: for his/her Curse of Constipation. Thanks for all of your entries, you all did a splendid job and made it really hard to judge! |
