1001 flashy(but useless) spells!! [Archive] - Wizards Community

This time the task is:

Find or create a flashy but useless spell.

If you find a spell, then say where you found it.

i will declare a winner after 5 posts, but will continue giving praise after that.

Points are aworded for:
Flashiness

05-12-07, 06:16 PM Back in 2e one of my friends had a Wild Mage who went out of his way to research a spell called Horse of a Different Color. It was a varient on the There/Not There spell. Basically, it was a permanant illusion(glamer) that made the target person or object a different color everytime you looked at it. If you lost line of sight or simply looked away, it would be a different color when next you saw it.

And, yes, it was inspired by The Wizard of Oz.

the spell makes your nose glow a random collor and change shape every 1d4 rounds, providing light as a candle (cannot be seen by the user),and giving any spot checks against them a +10 bonus.

one time someone in the party combined that with a permanence spell, im asuming they were bored...

I was not aware that D&D was about being an entertainer. I thought it was about murdering people who lived in caves and stealing their stuff.
