5. Hollow-Golems (think mechs)

6. Zeplins (you'd have to be insane to fly in a bag of explosive gas in a world where people can huck fireballs)

7. 3 Foot Stilts (yeah.....)

8. Automatic Beard Groomer (sells well with the dwarves)

9. Mirrored Cloth (popular amoung gnomish vampire hunters, a group of them stand in a line from the surface reflecting the sun to whatever vampirc threat they encounter [think "Ledgend"])

10. Flame-Proof Spellbook (nothing worse then your lab exploding causing you spellbook to catch fire)

11. Inflatable Sentry (this is from a dungeon magazine)

12. Inflatable Sentry Inflated With Explosize Gas (from same issue)

13. Mecha-Lance (lance that deals extra damage due to lace head that hits, retracts into the lance then due to air pressure shoots back to its original possition and hits again for slightly less force)

14. Clockwork Boot (little tiny gears on the soles of the boots slowly move the wearer across the ground without requiring leg movement, looks neat with long robe, bad on hardwood floors, gets tangled in carpet, doesnt work on soft soil, perfect for stone floors)

15. Twisty Crazy Straws (you'd have to be insane, or 6 years old, to not use a straight straw, unless your drinking something unpleasent but neat looking)

20. Chest-High Circular Saw Blade Launcher. This fiendish gnomish defense mechanism is designed for use against larger attackers, like orcs and hobgoblins. Resembling a turret on wheels about four feet high, this steam powered weapon fires razor sharp discusses that fly over gnomish heads but cut the bigger folks clean in half.

Ok, here is the deal. I have one invention to contribute. But just to put it out there I hate the "Gnomes are super crazy inventors and their stuff BACKFIRESS LAWL!" archetype. I played with a DnD group for years that would just not lay off of it. Now I kind of hate gnomes and if I roll one I pretty much always roll cleric or druid with it, just so he has to be sense able (high wis).

21: A pancake making machine but instead of it producing pancakes like it should, it backfires (Oh how I hated that group) and creates a living being made of elemental fire. His thick lava-esq body can stretch and reform itself. It can also expand and slip through the smallest of places. Fire heals it and cold deals double damage to it. But he doesn't deal damage with his touches he doesn't exude heat himself. He is a monk and was my third character (I was young).

A wand that was originally designed as a means of locating dragons by seeking out their unique power signals and sending a ray in their direction. However, something must have gone wrong with the invention process, as it simply points the user to the nearest piece of cheese. Upon being brought in contact with said cheese, the wand immediately glows bright white and the cheese is turned into a rather startled badger.

A catapult that flings you up to another floor for flying is faster than stairs. The problem is that when the net opens up to catch you, it might be off timing, either slamming you into the bottom of the net or missing you completely. If it doesn't work, then a net on the floor below will catch you. If that doesn't work then there are other nets on the floors below that and so on. If none of the nets work, then lots of sponges are deployed on the ground. If that doesn't work then lots of water will come out of these barrels and if those don't work...
