Ooblech
Sections of waterproof film containing ooblech replace the padding in your armor. When you are hit, the ooblech stiffens to absorb the blow. Ooblech grants a +1 bonus to AC against bludgeoning weapons. You can't use ooblech to replace the padding in padded armor.

Cost: 500 gp (the waterproof film is expensive).
Weight: Add 5 pounds to the armor's weight.

How about FRENAR: can only be put on light armor rsduces hits of piercing by 25% grants immunity to critical hits grants a +2 Dex and +5% striding. (base land speed increases by 5%.)

Helps a rogue and may increase AC.

Anybody with Weapon Finesse are definetly more dangerous.

What about it are you confused about? I am going to take a wild guess and say it's probably "oobleck" itself. Oobleck (I spelled it wrong in the first post) is a mix of cornstarch and water. When you let it rest, it's liquidy and can even be poured. When you agitate it though, it gets hard, fast (I remember puching some of it to see what would happen, it was almost like I had hit the table beneath it). It's alot of fun to play with when you're a kid and makes a pretty interesting science experiment in school (that is the order that I encountered it).

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oobleck

EDIT: I think I see what you confused face was about. It can't replace the padding in padded armor because slashing and peircing weapons would ruin it with one hit. The oobleck would quickly leak out. All (or almost all) armors have a layer of padding underneath the main part of the armor, it's that padding that the oobleck system replaces.

Thanks. It was indeed the edit in your post that removed my confusion.

ShadeInk

Shadeink is a very rare and valuable substance that is used in the creation of magical weapons and armor. Shadeink does not start out as a solid material, in its natural form it is a thick, vicious black liquid that pools in remote corners of the Plane of Shadow. The process of solidifying the material was discovered by accident during a skirmish with some celestials with demons they had tracked to the plane of shadow when a heal spell was cast on one of the injured celestials who had fallen into a pool of the material earlier in the battle. When a high concentration of positive energy is directed upon the material it solidifies into a substance almost as strong as adamantine. The process of creation usually involves the substance being poured into a mold of the desired object and bombarded with large amounts of positive energy, solidifying it into a steel-like substance.

Shadeink creates an inky black substance that looks oily but offers no light refection, as if drinking the light around it. When a piece of armor, shield or weapon made of Shadeink is struck, the material seems to ripple like water but feels to the one striking it as if they had struck solid steel. This increases the hardness of the material to +5 above what a steel item of the same type would possess.

Items created from Shadeink absorb light around them, granting a +2 circumstance bonus to Hide checks in areas of any illumination that allows shadows for the one actively wielding or brandishing a Shadeink item. The item must be exposed to light in order to generate the effect, thus is does not work in areas without illumination.
Also, when a spell that uses positive energy (such as a cure spell) is cast into the item it creates a darkness effect, as the spell, equal to the caster level of the spell being cast, centered on the item. This effect cannot be dismissed by the wielder; it is a natural side effect of positive energy exposure to the item.

This material adds an additional 2,000 GP to the cost of the item thus crafted from this darkly useful material.

i'll give this thing a go

Mirrored metal

this metal grants a 10% chance of deflecting spells back at the caster who targets you with a spell but because of it's slightly more delicate structure, all melee damage done to the wearer is increased by 1

this metal replaces all metal on an armor, therefor, this can only used on armors with metal in them. the metal reflects light and looks like it has more of a whitish tint to it.

cost: 2,500 gp, weight: -5 lbs, usage: metal armor and metal shields

Nightmare Stone

This is a rocky material that is used in constrcting buldings. A bulding made entirely from nightmare stone grants several forms of protection to those inside. First, the walls may not be passed through etherally, and no one can teleport inside. Also, anyone who is inside cannot be scryed on or have their thoughts detected, and their dreams cannot be entered in any way. In addition, anyone who walks into a bulding made of nightmare stone that is possessed has the possessing creature left outside, which forces the spirit out of the body.
However, anyone who goees to sleep in a bulding made of nightmare stone acts as if under the effects of a nightmare spell. The material has no effect if used for anything other than a bulding, although rumors are that a golem could be created from this given the proper spells. The stones magical abilites don't function unless at least 75% of the buldings structure is made from nightmare stone. This material is often used by the quori to prevent other quori from messing with them in their strongholds, and it has no drawbacks, since they are creatures of dream and are not effected by nightmares.

Nightmare stone ranges from white to black, and has a texture that is almost like a mixture of brick and crystal. It is harvested from the residue left behind on the plane of dreams when a mortal awakens from a nightmare. Its color shimmers and flows depending on the light that hits it.

The cost of any bulding made from nightmare stone is tripled, as per the table in the dungeons master guide.

Steelmesh:

The master tailors and smiths of the Great City of Jastar once collaborated and created the amazing material known as steelmesh. Steelmesh is made of fine steel fibers woven together in bunches to form a light, pliable sheet that provides superior protection while being light enough to wear under clothing unnoticed. This makes it very popular among merchants, thieves, diplomats and others who desire a subtle form of effective protection. Armor made of steelmesh weighs half as much as normal, has a check penalty 2 less than normal, a maximum Dexterity bonus 2 higher, and counts as a category lighter for all purposes, including proficiency. Light armor costs an extra 500 gp, medium armor 1,000 gp, and heavy armor 1,500 gp to make of steelmesh. Plate based armor cannot be made of steelmesh, nor may non-metallic armors. Steelmesh stacks with mithral, but steelmesh adamantine is impossible.

Water-Steel:

This material is very unique: it can change form when held by a shapechanger. Water-steel is hard to distinguish from whatever it is currently mimicing; it takes a DC 25 Spot check to tell the difference.

An example of a water-steel item (with attendant rules):

Water Axe: The Water Axe is the signature weapon of the doppelgangers. It is not really axe, nor is it really any given weapon. As a move equivalent action (or free action if the wielder has Quick Draw) the wielder of the weapon may change the form of the Water Axe to that of any melee weapon of appropriate size. Doing this requires the wielder to use a shapechanging spell, spell-like ability or supernatural ability to initiate the change; this takes no time in itself and is part of the process. The Water Axe grants no extra proficiencies. It may be enhanced as any normal weapon, and always counts as masterwork (since the wielder simply chooses to have it take the optimal form when he changes its shape).
Cost: 1,500 gp, Smith must be a doppelganger and know the secret rituals.
