Had an old player call his Human Fighter named Phalla Sman.

he NEVER meant it as a joke, but didnt realize the mistake he made until the others showed up, and we began playing. Needless to say, the name lasted all of about 5 minutes before he changed it.

Sir Anrap, the Paladin

GeeBee - lets not forget my screenname, shall we? Being kind of a dull but lovable half-orc (half-kobold), GeeBee's mom didn't bother to name her second child. His older brother George was enough for her, and so I became "George's Brother." "Nyaah! Stupid George! Just cause he's got a hooge axe!"

I once used a character in a Ravenloft Campaign named "Monk"....and he was a Ranger, oddly enough his horse was named "Ranger". This created such confusion among the other players that after 2 moths of playing one of them still thought I was a monk, or that my horse had class levels.

That's freakin AWESOME!

I used to play a Minotaur/Half-Dragon Fighter (epic) who's name was Zarathustra, which (in his tongue) meant Beefcake the Mighty. Yeah, I'm a fan of Gwar.

Some of my sillier named old characters:

81. The Great Gildasneeze- 1/2 elf bard. His full name took up the entire equipment section of the character sheet. Something like The Amazing, Astounding, Astonishing, Beguiling Bewidering...(adjectives ad infinitum)..etc. etc. Styling and Profiling, Great Gildasneeze.

82. Halfling Rouge- The Scarlet Pumpernickel

83. Human Psionicist- Billy Bohagis

84. Human ranger- Bill Jr.

85. Half-Dragon Fighter- The Thunderhawk, The was his first name and he insisted on being referred as "The Thunderhawk". Wore Bracers with huge spikes on them everywhere he went.

86. Human Fighter- Clubber Lang

Cookies if you get any of those references, though the last one is easy.

Golden Zealot

12-10-05, 08:12 PM
87. Heldaloft, Gnome wizard
Thurbane

12-10-05, 09:59 PM
88. Massive Ferguson: Half-Ogre Fighter (Berserker)*

*Comes from a mistaken song lyric. There is a song called "Down on the Farm" by a group called "The Cosmic Psychos" - one of the lines is "Long live Massey Ferguson" (a brand of tractors and farm machinery) which a friend of mine misheard as "Long live Massive Ferguson". Next time I played, I had a half-ogre fighter called Massive Ferguson, who's battlecry was LONG LIVE MASSIVE FERGUSON! :D
CHROMELOTUS

12-10-05, 10:14 PM
89. Fumduck: Fumbuk's (#80) half-wit older brother.
Dark Stryke

12-10-05, 10:32 PM
90. Paldren Seraphim, my Paladin/Cleric. Keep in mind that a "paldren" is a piece of armor, and "seraphim" is derived from "seraph" or angel. So, translated VERY loosely, it's "guardian angel". And the party would be so dead without him.

91. Shadis of the Black Flame. An NPC Black Flame Zealot, obviously.

92. Grunglesh Gnashtooth. Ogre Barkeep. Affectionately called "Grungles" by his regulars.

93. Telmaris. No last name changes constantly. A reoccuring neutral wizard that appears in all of my campaigns at some point. Known for his absentmindedness and love of red silk robes.

94. Z'Taris the Silkenblade. Drow assassin with dreams of world domination. Unfortunealty, the campaign ended before he could be used! GAH!

95. Arian and Silford. An Elven Ranger/Wizard/Arcane Archer and a human Fighter/Blackguard. A pair of bounty hunters for hire. Does that count as two? for me it doesn't, as they're always together.

96. Krennick, a dwarven cleric NPC. Had a very sharp tongue, as I remember.

97. Winnin, a human cleric that was impaled by a ballista bolt about ten minutes into a campaign. Luckily he was an NPC, but it really got the point across that the campaign was going to be dangerous.

That's all for now. I have stats for Z'Taris, An incarnation of Telmaris, and Shadis (warning: Gestalt!), if anybody wants them.

Bob the Generic fighter. running joke in our games. The npc fighter we pulled out of the DMG was kicking ten times as much ass as all the rest of us combined. SO now all fighters are named bob.

by the same token, all our sorcerer higherlings are named Tim....

we also had Ramadaclan the three legged half orc... and no he wasn't a mutant with three real legs. the guy was just a tripod of manlyness.

Breakable the fighter. funny story about him, a gorgon and a chainspell shatter....

Ahh any my current favorite character.
Puff the half dragon phantasmal paladin. illusionary dragonic warrior. yeah he has issues.

the names arn't really funny in and of themselves, but i had players show up for the first session of a new game and everyones character names were:
Charlie the cleric
Feonia the fighter
Dave the druid
Bob the barbarian
Warren the wizard.

kinda strange since they swore the didn't plan it.
