| TheShortestDM06-13-07, 11:17 PM | Alright, here's a thread for the funniest, bluntest, or oddest assassinations you, as a PC have either seen or committed. I'll start. There was an Assassin that called himself the White Ghost. He had a contract to kill a Sorceress that was causing the city subtle grief (things like using Presdigitation to make the water taste like stale hay). He saw her in a high quality in, a rather nice establishment. When he followed her inside, she sat near the middle with her two bodyguards at her side. Using Disguise Self, he changed his clothing to fit that of a serving man and came around with the order of drinks he eavesdropped from her, but inside the ales were the ingested poison that causes unconsciousness (forget the name). She drinks it and seems unaffected, but her two guards faint immediately. At this point, it's gotten really awkward as the entire Inn is staring oddly at him. So the Assassin picks up the Sorceress and yells in his most dramatic tone: "Oh fair maiden, I shall protect thee from the evil killer sent out to get you!" Before proceeding to run to the second floor of the inn, where he kicked up a floor board and tossed her out the window. When asked what happened, he replied "I tripped.". The guards, not buying it, came in to arrest him. The Assassin poked them both in the eyes, screamed "THE WHITE GHOST HAS STRUCK!" before jumping through the same window, landing on the corpse, and dashing out of town. Post yours! :D |

| Aaarrrgh06-14-07, 08:49 AM | 2: This didn't happen in-game, but in a PCs background story. A young female assassin was sent to kill an old wizard lady. When the wizard realised she was dying, she tried to cast a spell to somehow save her own life, but ended up transferring her mind and soul into the body of the assassin instead. So our party wakes up every morning without knowing if we're talking to an assassin or a wizard. Makes adventuring a little more interesting. |
| Zousha_Omenohu06-14-07, 08:55 AM | So was it complete replacement or multiple personality disorder? Sorry, Mr. Blood of the Ancient, I'm just not quite clear. |
| Aaarrrgh06-14-07, 09:02 AM | Multiple personality disorder. And remember, this happened before she/they had met the party, so everyone was a bit confused in the beginning... |
| Phrennzy06-14-07, 11:05 AM | "THE WHITE GHOST HAS STRUCK!" LOL (Although isn't 'white ghost' redundant?) |
| gamricstonecaller06-14-07, 11:15 AM | Our Group had a high Level assassin that cut the heads off of the Demogorgan Demon Lord of the Abyss. It saved our Party.1st edition 1985 DnD when demons were not renamed. We were a evil party that was trying to usurp evil itself.I was a chaos knight anti paladin. lawful evil.It was fun which is the purpose of the game. :D |
| MOD300406-14-07, 03:08 PM | Hmmm assasinations eh? Well I remember that in the last campaign I was in were on an infiltration mission and word got sent from higher ups in our organization that my character, a Wilder, was no longer neccesarry. (She was a ditzy idiotic character who was fun to RP but really, REALLY annoying) So the rest of the party, a Hexblade and an Artificer (Ya we had a screwed up party) came up with an idea. First while the Artificer was sweet talking my Wilder the Hexblade was to drink a potion of invisiblity and and a potion of Owls Wisdom. So the Hexblade, now invisible, sneaks up behind my Wilder (doing the best impersination of a rogue I've ever seen) and attacks, rolling a natural 1, and throws his weapon. After the suprise round they combined rolled 7 natural ones and a 2 and I rolled 3 natural 20s and a 15 for my will saves. The Wilder later reported that vampires had been dominating her party members and she was forced to kill them. She got a few metals out of that one... |
| Eshenaleros06-14-07, 03:25 PM | we gotta number these, right? 4. this one time i was playing a rogue with an extremely low dexterity (a roll of 4, go figure), so he was as stiff as a board. don't ask me why i did it, i just tried to. anyways, he tried to sneak into a fortress to decapitate the evil baron that was ruling the land, instead getting caught by the guards right off the bat. ironically, he was brought to the baron, and threw a dagger at the man's head. I rolled a critical miss, so i flew in some odd direction (this is all being rolled on the critical failure chart) ricoched off a suit of armor along the wall, off the gaurd's head, and struck the baron. not exactly the most direct route of attack, but whatever works, right? |
| RealSorceror06-14-07, 03:30 PM | 5). Well, lets see, my Fire-Genasi Hellfire-Warlock once attempted to "assassinate" someone by burning their house down, in full veiw of the public, at about 2:00 in the afternoon (he had a base Int of 10 and was heavily intoxicated). And yes, his name is Arson. Because a fire god was the city's patron deity, no legal action was taken against him. :mage: |
