It's just a giant bar the size of several city blocks, located next to the naval base in the port town. 137) Rumy's - lame, I know. It's next to the docks, if that justifies anything. 138) Bottomless Mug - Maybe I need to go back and come up with some better bar names for this town. 139) The Roost - Bar run by Kenku. I think I'm the only one who loves the Kenku. Finally a name that isn't hopelessly cliched.

Razor Hole--frequented by unsavory types, this gloomy hole-in-the-wall on the wrong side of the river is great place to go to hire an extra rogue or meat shield--if you can sleep with one eye open. The bar's owner, LN human figher 2/wizard 3 hates the weak, but despises bullies. If you start a fight in the Razor Hole, it better be for a good reason, and you damn well better win. 147. Orc's Breath--Run by a NG aging elf hippie sorcerer 4/rogue 2, the tavern is armed with a fighter 5th and a paladin 6th, (who is currently "working up funds for his great quest" who comes off as the "I'm not really a waiter, I'm an actor" type) and either an antimagic field or a calm emotions spell that the bar's owner can dispel or resume at will via a special medallion (usually the former). A "No Detections!" sign hangs at a jaunty angle beside the door, and any barfight is met with either calm emotions or a 9d6fireball wand and his bouncers if that doesn't work. 148. Thryst--Thryst is supposedly a word in some archaic language that the bar owner (CG human barbarian 8) says means "to do as the warrior", or drink, fight, feast, and die honorably. An A-frame sign in front posts the daily drink specials, and at the bottom reads in common "barkeep's battle tip of the day: (insert appropriate tactical tidbit here)". Years back, the owner made an enemy of the local captain of the guard/police/king's musketeers/whatever (LN human swordsage 6, Justiciar 1), who has made it a point to place every legal hurdle in the way of Barkeep as possible. According to rumor, the real reason for the emnity is before they both dropped out of the local wizard academy, (insert bar owner's name here) beat (insert captain's name here) in a monumentally drunken game of strip poker, (knowledge local, bardic DC 10). When asked, Barkeep just laughs and refuses to insult an honorable man's pride. Captain flushes, and boils with rage at whoever brings it up. Just three favorites from my campaigns.

But it had few replies, and wasn't looking for ALL names, as this one is, merely humorous. But I wanted all inclusive, because as I've found I can spend hours just staring at my computer screen/notepad trying to come up with names for things. But like I said, this thread is for all sorts of names. :D
Pippa 12-17-07, 04:10 PM	I believe it was in 'The Three Musketeers' by Alexandre Dumas that I read bout an inn that was renowned for it's stew. The cauldron of the stew in question was never emptied, never cleaned, and visitors would somtimes throw in some lard, chicken or what have you. It was said to be the best stew in the country. ...And I can't remember the name of that inn for the life of me!
