Hi there. I have seen the other alignement thread, and I wanted everyone to put their 2 coppers about how you can play a LN alignement. From the most extremist Judicator to the simple guard who like his system the way it is, period.

1. The law is right by itself, no one shall never break it. Any law of any kingdom has to be respected to the letter (Exemple : ???)
2. Mortal laws change, so it's little matter, but there is Laws of Nature, of the Universe that shall never be broken. (Exemple : Inevitables)
3. Work for your group. You are not important, only the group is. (Exemple : Formian)
4. You don't care about the laws, because the laws have rejected you. However, you will ever be truly loyal to your kin, because you swore an oath of protection to them (Exemple : Outcast Champion/Kensai)

I've always viewed lawful neutral as a someone who adheres to a set of rules or a particular code of conduct, and to nothing else. It could be a body of nationally recognized laws, or it could be just some personal credo such as, "I shall never eat beets on Tuesday!"

So long as they have a clearly defined set of rules/morals/regulations or whatever that define their opinions and actions, and so long as they adhere to that code, then they're lawful neutral in my book. Even if they might do things that some people might view as "good" or "evil". Thats not the point with lawful neutral. You have your rules, you know your limits, and you live accordingly. Thats lawful neutral.

But then, I don't generally tend to give alignment much thought.

i played a LN soldier (Warmage).
It wasn't his job to make moral judgments of right or wrong.
he did what his superiors told him to do without question.
