8 -Mm.. do that "Locate city as tactical nuke" magic trick? Early on it can push stuff at a distance of 80 miles.. wich i think is enough for low orbit.

Well, back when they did the first underground nuclear tests, they drilled a hole, lowered the bomb to the bottom in and then detonated it. On the tried and tested scientific method of "Wouldn't it be really cool if ..." some respectable scientists decided to cap the hole ... with a manhole cover.

***BOOM!***

Thus conclusively proving that what goes up does not necessarily have to come down ... and Truth really CAN be stranger than Fiction (or in this case, Fantasy).
