Hey everyone! this 1001 thread is about weapons you wish were in DnD but sadly are not. Mine would be a Chain Kama, which is like a nunchuku with a longer chain and kamas at each end. And yes i know you can make weapons, but i don't care. it does not matter what weapon it is, it can even be the sillyest weapon in the worled, just speak your mind!

My vote's for a nunchuku cannon.

That would be a pair of cannons from a pirate ship attached to two ends of a chain, and when you're tired of flipping them around like a monkey, you could just pull real hard on one end and it would fire a cannonball at your enemies!

Yeahhhhh....

My Huge-size rabid cursed half-dragon cyborg werewolf scout/ninja/ranger/necromancer/hulking hurler/dread pirate Chauncy would love that.

It would...

Nose sword: exotic weapon. You can attack with it using the rules for claws and a bite (nose sword's the bite), taking another -4 if you're not proficient. Damage 1d3 (or 1d2 for Small), threat range x2. Weighs 1 pound, costs 5 gold.

It would also be nice if you added statistics to your weapon to get a little more feel of what you have created/introduced for dnd. for instanca the chain kama would have 1d8 damage, 20 crit range,X2 for crit,10 foot range, slashing, etc, just get creative!

sorry to double post but please do not criticise others for their weapons/stats for weapon.

My favorite weapon that i made, that was inspired for the dungeons and dragons cartoon was the bow that when you pulled back the string a flaming arrow appeared. We put a damage of 6d6 on it. This was early 90's. I think now, and with some of the rules with 3.5; Crit 20 in close range...( range yet determined) as your target gets farther and farther away though the amount of damage would lessen too. Medium rangs 5d6....long range 4d6. I know its not broken down like that anymore but setting some feet increments to it.

Only bards are profficient with it, but if you're a Virtuoso--prestige class--you can use it to a better degree...

The uber Sonic Axe of Rocking Might!!!
Basically an electric guitar, but instilled with magical powers by the Music God. Whenever you play a note, it causes 1d8 (+1/level) Sonic Damage, and makes target become deaf for 10 rounds. It never misses, because it's noise, and you can't miss with noise, only be too far away for it to be heard.
Range Increment of 100ft, anything farther than that is 1d4, only causing target to become deaf for 2 rounds. Anything past 200ft takes no damage.
Since it is magical weapon, it does not require electricity or an amp, and the sound just comes out of the air, as if there were amps mounted somewhere. The sound is heard by all within range, but at a reasonable volume, only the target hears it enough to cause damage.
If you're a Virtuoso it causes +2/class lvl, in addition to the +1/level damage.

i got a new one, my friend made this. think of two great swords with one handle and a spiked chain coming from the handle. he calls it the kord blade. it is a two handed weapon considared dual wielding (like a two-bladed sword) does 1d12/1d8 damage, 20/20 for crit, X2/X3 when it crits, 5feet/10feet range and does slashing/piercing damage, does 1.5 damage (like all two handed weapons), exotic weapon and can trip opponents.

Indeed how about a vibro-cannon or a power sword? But the most cruel is the splinter pistol. Or the daemon sword. Or the D-cannon. Well the list goes on...

Or maybe you could say garrote. I would love to see rule for that. Wait, don't they have rules for that? Hmmm I remember something but I can't remeber where or when or if it was in my head.

The short sword of random spellcasting. Normal short sword until used to atack with. When used, it randomly selects any one spell and casts it on the target. Counts as a 20th level caster. The good thing about it is it can give you're opponents displacement, or barkskin, y'know, just for comical value.

I also made a longsword of teleportation. When the sword is bored (it has an ego of a 20th level C/N bard) it randomly teleports the weilder to anywhere the sword fancies. "belly of a dragon!!!" "wha...?" fizzpop. "100ft in the air!!!" "Ahhh crap" fizzpop "AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!"

I like the random sword the best. Just entertaining. fizzpop "Not again..."

The hair-knife. Exotic weapon, no specific class proeficiency. Need hair or beard at least 3' long. Tied at the end, it allows an extra attack. Otherwise, use all the stats from a dagger. Not really useful for a barbarian, but deadly for an high-level rogue flanking a foe.

A little variant: the hair-hook. As above, but use the same stats than a sickle, including the possibility to make a trip attack.

I wish the Estoc could be a weapon in D&D

Large Exotic Two handed Sword
2d6 18-20/x2 Piercing
A long, thick, edge-less neddle shaped blade that protrudes from a two-handed grip, this large weapon is used to skewer enemies in any type of armor.
If you want to be evil about it, target enemies take a -1 to armor when facing an Estoc wielding PC.

I've noticed a lot of people creating nunchaku with blades on them. The problem with this is that to be used effectively, nunchaku actually hit your own body before striking your opponent. They wrap around the backs of your arms and backside, and sometimes your legs, creating a spring-forward whipping motion as you strike. Now, this would be very dangerous for yourself if the nunchaku actually had blades on them. Unless you only want to twirl them around, but the user has much less control over them this way. The chain on a nunchaku is simply too short to be used effectively in this manner. Trust me, I actually use nunchaku as part of my martial arts training, and I hold a black belt in Hapkido.

Anyways, the weapon I'd like to see...a sword-breaker trident main-gauche! I'm sure it has to be somewhere in one of the splat books, but I've yet to find it. These were the main gauches that Rennaisance swashbucklers used in their off-hand while fencing with a rapier. They were used more for defense than for offense. The stats I would give it would be:
-- damage 1d4
-- crit x2
Special: If held in your off-hand but not used to attack in a battle round, you gain a +1 AC bonus. If your enemy's attack fails to beat your AC, you have a 50% chance to make a free sunder attempt against light blades only. This free sunder attempt does not provoke an attack of opportunity. Two-weapon fighting penalties are always incurred when brandishing a main gauche in your off-hand, whether you attack with it or not. The AC bonus and 50% sunder attempt chance do not apply if the main gauche is used to attack.

I wasn't trying to be pompous. I was just saying, because most people aren't aware of the way nunchaku are actually used. Nunchaku with blades would be like having a sword with a sharp handle. You'd injure yourself.

Of course, you are free not to take my advice. This is a fantasy game after all.

The fact that they make no sence is the point of them, you pretty much explained the joke.

This was a weapon I saw in Last of the Mohicans and plenty of Native Americans used this weapon.

But, those Rifle Shaped Warclubs? I was always interesting in making a Barbarian using one.

I think something along the lines of...

1d10 bludgeoning
x2 Critical
Two-handed
Ranged Increment of 20 feet
+2 bonus on trip attempts do the curved end.

Then there's the piercing edge for the spiked part.

1d6 x4 Critical.

I think maybe having a bow like Taulmaril in the Drizzt Do'Urden books would be awesome. I mean, that bow can friggen blow your head off, and it can break through solid stone, and since Catti-brie is such a crack shot with it it makes it so much cooler. Plus it would be cool to spam a dragon with explosive arrows and never run out of ammo.

Been made.

Look up Cattie-brie or the Companions of the Hall on the wizard's search and you'll find her stats.

- The "complete-and-utter" bastard sword

- The anime sword: basically a gargantuan greatsword with a hilt sized for a medium wielder (I've never quite understood the fascination with this)

- Arrow of rouge slaying: kills dead instantly any creature wearing excessive makeup

- Toothpick of lightning (just like a javelin of lightning, but the size of a toothpick. Great fun at dinner parties. I actually played under a DM that used these)

- The deadly deck: playing cards that act like shuriken

Lochaber axe

In addition to its cutting blade, the Lochaber axe had a hook which could be used to pull horsemen from the saddle. The shaft of the axe was up to eight feet long.

I would stat this as such.

Martial 2-handed weapon (polearm)
1d10 (20/x3)
10' Reach weapon
When set against a charge, it allows the wielder to attempt to pull the rider from the saddle instead of dealing damage, forcing an opposed strength + BAB check. The wielder of the axe gains a +2 to this check. If the rider fails, he falls, if he succeeds, he may attack as normal. This is a reach weapon.

http://www.fotosearch.com/NSP295/wpn004/

I'd still make it martial, since the additional bonus is very situational. In this way, it is similar to a halberd. Perhaps also allow a trip against all opponents and make it exotic?

46.) A triple-bladed black lightsaber. Because of the awkward 3-bladed design, you need at least 3 hands to use it without penalties.

I don't Know if this exists  but I ran a Gith Psiwarrior who had levels of Pyrokinetisist and Electrokinetisist. The Dm I was running under made a double whip. Just like a double sword only with whips. It had other funky properties like charges that recharged every day 5 in total if I used all five at once it doubled my level. But the double whip was cool.
