| Devil Gnasher10-12-05, 10:14 PM | 1. Priestly Prositute: He was a Lawful or Chaotic Good Crusader of Tymora who's most famous quote was, "If you give me some money for my temple, I'll give you some love." He considered all women to be automatically unarmed. 2. 4 Star General Stupid Druid: She had an assortment of animal compainions. They included a pig-sized goldfish who's sheer destructive power rivaled the gods, a 30 foot mobile statue of the Egyptian cat goddess Bast, a floating flaming skull named Skeleton (named by the druid, of course), a retarded Nightmare, and a ranger cat-girl. 3. Oriental Druid: See 4 Star General Stupid Druid. 4. Guy Who Sold His Soul Both to An Eryines and to a Succubus: See Priestly Prositute. This was in second Edition. In a Forgoten Realms Campaign. |
| Kyle_the_DM10-12-05, 10:18 PM | 5. Pun-pun |
| Slyde Shadowdart10-12-05, 11:00 PM | 6. Drizzt used by a player. 7. Drizzt clones. 8. Any and all lawful/chaotic stupid characters. (I kick puppies cuz I'm evyll.) Hmm. It's getting hard to avoid drifting into "worst players", so I'll stop here. |
| Devil Gnasher10-14-05, 08:48 PM | Any other irritating characters? |
| Nitan10-14-05, 11:11 PM | 9. Captain Plan: A Psion whose natural intellect made him very talented at formulating plans that didn't work. "Oh no, the Rogue has been grappled by the Bear? I know, I'll manifest Energy Stun to make the Bear drop him!" The Bear naturally always made his will save. He had an amazing gift to roll natural ones during crucial moments of his plans, namely the parts where the party would be mangled horribly if soemthing went wrong. 10. Captain No Plan: A Halfling Rogue that did not seem to understand the fact that he was small and not some indestructable wall. He frequently ran up to large creatures and attacked them. In fact, that's all he did. He ran up to creatures and attacked them. Even if they weren't flanked or flat-footed. Needless to say, his 1d4+1 damage did not impress the Dire Bear who prompty clawed him in the face and grappled him, nearly killing him before one of Captain Plan's plans actually worked. |
| Golbez910-15-05, 08:30 AM | 11. A Gnome mage who has a quasit familiar, and uses reduce/enlarge person to ride it around. I know, its original, but the person who came up with this character needs to be slapped. |
| White_Wizard10-15-05, 09:08 AM | - A gold dwarf (FR setting) bard/fighter with an awesome ability of losing hp. - Did I mention the half demon cleric/fighter/rogue/wizard/monk/black guard? - A rogue/sorcerer half elf with a snatch to do the stupidest thing in the stupidest moment with the largest chance to bring ruin upon his fellows |
| Rumple_Cragstan10-15-05, 03:27 PM | "Hey, I've been watching this anime lately......" "Hey, I've been reading this book lately...." "Hey, I've been playing this RPG lately...." "Hey, I saw this really good movie...." "I want to play a vampire" "I want to play a drow" "I want to play a sanctified [evil creature]" |
| Rocketboy1310-15-05, 11:05 PM | "Hey, I've been watching this anime lately......" "Hey, I've been reading this book lately...." "Hey, I've been playing this RPG lately...." "Hey, I saw this really good movie...." "I want to play a vampire" "I want to play a drow" "I want to play a sanctified [evil creature]" I think that is 90% of all characters not just the bad ones. 22. How about the guy who multi classes to the point where he can do anything, very, very badly. 23. Or the bard class. No one in particular, just any old bard discribes the problem. |
| Jaxgaret10-16-05, 02:13 AM | - Did I mention the half demon cleric/fighter/rogue/wizard/monk/black guard? whoa. Comment on #23 - What do you have against bards? They're the best way into ur-priest, get with the program! 24. Clerics played as uselessly as possible |
| vardock10-16-05, 11:23 AM | 25: vow of poverty wizard (oh no, you are not allowed to own a spell book) 26: vow of peace barbarian 27: "paladin sex worker" 28: commoner, nuff said 29: vow of abstanance drunken master 30: a rogue who took the Obesity vile feat |
| Azual10-16-05, 11:39 AM | 31. A psion who insists on casting energy cone IN A GODDAM CAVE. "well, your spell annhilated the kobolds, and the ENTIRE SUPERSTRUCTURE SUPPORTING THE ROOF ABOVE YOU. you now have... fifteen seconds to live. " fourteen two.. (this is usually the time when you start praying to whomever god you worship for forgiveness) |
| Purkake10-16-05, 12:15 PM | Well there is nothing by RAW suggesting that energy cone makes caves cave in... |
| Dragonsblood10-16-05, 01:10 PM | 32. Aristicrate (the NPC class) I've seen the horrors on this board when players pick this class, I'd rather not see it in person. |
| Baptor10-16-05, 01:28 PM | These ideas have been pitched to me, but never allowed. - A one-eyed lesbian giff pirate. - A psychic goblin with sparse white hair, a brilliant energy sword, who specializes in telekenitic and telepathic powers (conspicioulsy pitched after Episode 2 of star wars...) - Half Demon/Half Angel And this one I saw in someone else's game - A moss haired, roc riding, spelljamming ranger. (and im told it was an actual class name for a custom class in this dude's game.) |
| Azual10-16-05, 08:32 PM | Well there is nothing by RAW suggesting that energy cone makes caves cave in... it does, however, do quite a bit of damage to an object. Also, if the DM (me) doesnt like you, the rules tend to become less important than revenge. i mean the character who made this psion WAS EVIL! |
| White_Wizard10-17-05, 07:22 AM | Yup, but you, as a DM should overcome such things. To rule a game requires balance. If you dislike a PC or even the player playing that PC you should have treated that before. If you don't like evil characters, just don't allow them in your campaign or the players could ask why they've been allowed to play characters that the DM clearly dislikes. If you don't feel confident with one of your players, you can do one of the followiong: a) don't allow him/her to join your games b) if you allow it, forget that you don't like him/her for the entire duration of the game. This is because if you have a cave to fall over the PCs heads only to take revenge of a player/PC you don't like, they will understand it and will get angry: why THEIR PCs should be damaged only because of one of them?. While if you do that after having carefully described a frail dungeon and how it would be dangerous casting fireball inside it walls, and still the players insist to cast an exploding spell after another, you should make the roof fall upon them, just because they were stupid enough to act unwisely when clearly put on advice. |
| Azual10-17-05, 05:10 PM | lets just say im in a tentative situation. This annoying player is such an annoying individual in general, that he literally ruins games. Lets not even add in the whole powergamer bit. I dont want to tell him to go, because then i lose two other players, who are actually quite good. Im kinda in a debacle, at the moment. |
| Rocketboy1310-19-05, 01:18 PM | whoa. Comment on #23 - What do you have against bards? They're the best way into ur-priest, get with the program! They are mechanicly sound, but they concept of a guy/gal going into a dungeon to sing at the monsters is just bizzare. What's next: Anyone who constructs a Ranger because they think the animal companion makes him completely busted. |
| Silverthumb12810-19-05, 01:49 PM | Kender Ronin: "Will you be my lord? No, you! Will you be my lord? Hey, wanna be my lord?" NG Feral Orc Barbarian: "Moogar like eat! NO EAT? *bawls loudly, rolling around hitting the ground*" |
