| WotC_Bart10-03-05, 01:32 PM | Hi folks, We've launched the 2007 D&D Calendar Art Vote here: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/dnd/20051003a. Have an opinion you'd like to share on your favorite artist/choice? |
| Mr. VanderMeer10-03-05, 02:04 PM | The Master of Chains is my favorite. It is an amazing piece. Is it from a specific book, because I had not seen it before? |
| Sulaco10-03-05, 02:09 PM | No fair! All those Wayne Reynolds pieces and I can't vote for them all! :( |
| Seeker9510-03-05, 02:33 PM | I too cry foul. I should have been able to vote for more than one in the same ballot! |
| Deflare10-03-05, 08:03 PM | 'Twas hard to choose, but I picked 'Destroying the Artifact.' Only dragons are bigger badasses than the Tarrasque, and I like this glimpse into the difficulty of actually fighting one. Plus, it's always fun to think of a dude hanging from the giant beastie's nose. |
| ercpkr10-03-05, 08:46 PM | I liked the Blackguard. It was just awesome. |
| Fayle10-03-05, 08:48 PM | I went with The Rage because it has a great perspective of looking down the mountain side as the dragons fly upward. Great angle. |
| Knucklehead10-03-05, 10:39 PM | DnD Basic Set. That Black looks POed! |
| Malachi_III10-03-05, 10:43 PM | I always say that you gotta love Mind Flayers :) |
| taski10-04-05, 12:37 AM | Some of the pictures, like Waterdeep and the Underdark, are too small to really see them well. That could affect how the vote goes. Besides, I want to see them better. |
| TheChilliGod10-04-05, 02:18 AM | The Cult of Tiamat was my favorite. Always has been, ever since I looked at the piccy in the Complete Divine, I just went "wow. " |
| Phrennzy10-04-05, 02:45 AM | There are a lot that are really good. The Stormlord one is not as well done as say, Destroying the Artifact, or the Tiamat one, but there was something about it that just caught my eye. That's the kind of wizard I would be - flying around, tossing lightning bolts, and laughing in the wind and rain of the storm. |
| Sulaco10-04-05, 11:59 AM | 'Twas hard to choose, but I picked 'Destroying the Artifact.' Only dragons are bigger badasses than the Tarrasque, and I like this glimpse into the difficulty of actually fighting one. Plus, it's always fun to think of a dude hanging from the giant beastie's nose. I love that picture. It is a great take on the idea of "eliminating" an artifact that might be impossible to actually destroy. I really want to play the adventure that ends with that encounter, though I may end up having to write it myself. |
| CzarGarrett10-04-05, 01:17 PM | There should have been a Pick-6 way to vote. Or something like that. Just picking 1, eh. I'd rather pick half a year and maybe then at least one would get it. Unless this is round one and it'll be narrowed down to a smaller field. |
| Seeker9510-04-05, 02:51 PM | Some of the pictures [...] are too small to really see them well.Didja click on it to get the pop-up? They are decent sized on my computer. |
| taski10-04-05, 09:18 PM | Didja click on it to get the pop-up? They are decent sized on my computer. Yeah, I did click 'em. They're still small, especially compared to some of the others. The Underdark one is about 1/5th the size of the Master of Chains. I'd just like to see them near the same size. |
| Rocketboy1310-06-05, 03:01 PM | "Darkwell" and "Rage" were both good, but I ultimately went with "Destroying an Artifact." It has to be the best picture in the DMG2 and I think it is the best depiction of high level play in this group as well. |
| dyd_aventureros10-09-05, 02:39 AM | my vote is for the blackguard, it's awesome! |
| Kalriem10-11-05, 11:35 PM | I went for Master of Chains. It's one of the few really good pics in there. Most the rest have coloring book quality hues, and poor drawing quality. Give me more A. Swekle, T. Lockwood, M. Phillippi, and F. Vohwinkel, and send the rest back to the comic books! :fight!: Well... Maybe not all of them, but you get the idea. :D |
