It looks like my PCs are going to get on a ship (in the Shining Sea region of the Forgotten Realms) well before Stormwrack comes out, so I was hoping for some information about the 2e supplement Of Ships and the Sea; maybe it will be useful in the meantime. Does this product:

- provide general "fluff" information about sea travel that would help me bring to life what is probably the PCs' first time on a ship?
- have any information on slave ships (e.g., layout, crew, travel speed)?
- have information about how to run combat on a single ship or between those on two ships (NOT naval warfare)?

Thanks,
Halornn

You relise that they neednt come from a dnd book at all? For the combat, lob in some nice climb, balance and concentration checks, but for the fluff, a history book would give you easily enough.

And there are a few d20 rules supplements that spotlight on naval adventuring from Seafarer's Handbook to Book of the Sea.

A couple more good sources are Pirates! and Ships of War, with the latter being quite ship focused. The Swashbuckler's Handbook has some stuff, but is more character oriented.
